Not that I mind, but it seems that whoever joins EVE corps or form one that recruits like crazy with spamming advertisements. I'm in a good corp with an alliance and we've been recruiting a lot of players and all been supportive donating as much as we can, but the donations are still below the requirements to get the clone packs for the PC. After the first clone packs, then what? I suppose we would have to donate all over again for that much. But I think if the ISK requirement was lowered, it would give other corps a fighting chance to try out the PC. I enjoy playing in the normal matches, but I'm anxious to try out PC. And no, I'm not gonna leave my corp for another just to get in PC. What can we do to participate in the PC equally?
I am in new Eden. I am adapting. I am asking. Thank you. |

You need at least 160mill in the corp (for clone packs) to actually take a district if it has 300 clones (providing you guys actually win the matches)
To participate in PC... I think you're just gunna have to wait till they open more planets and districts... Or if you do get enough money you can go for it. |

Yeah, it's not so much about larger corps (though having alot of members is better) than it is about having beneficent members willing to fund the corp wallet (and not rob it blind later). You could be smell like freshly cleaned towels but as long as you are worth hundreds of millions of ISK your chances in Planetary Conquest are good. Though... winning is another thing altogether, and don't forget about the friendly fire. |

That would take MONTHS for most corps at this point to collect that much, especially since most blueberries are not willing to part with their ISKs when it comes to gears and supplies. |

Maybe. It happened that when the game was launched, CCP reimbursement with ISK all the items that we (closed beta players) collected through the beta so we start with 200M ISK + (most of the people).

I am in new Eden. I am adapting. I am asking. Thank you. It takes patience and time. A good way to gather money is holding weekly lotteries. Keeping members is a matter of consistent planning and stablizing communication.
1.Have your ceo plan a roadmap. Stick to that roadmap. 2.He should NOT assign any directors until you are ready to PC. 3.Make sure you get in an alliance with EVE support. 4.Encourage your members to skill up and save money. 5.DO NOT let losing tear you a part. There will be tears, and no matter what you need to stay calm and focused on having fun. I know losing is not fun, but you are going to lose a lot. You may not even win your first 10 matches, but if you quit then you will never know what you are made of. |

I honestly think they want people to fight over stuff. They are testing it. Even though the game is "commercial" released they are still using Beta strategies it seems. I feel once CCP is comfortable with it's progress than they will open up more districts, land, planets, ect. |

PC is not for new Corps. PC is in essence the End Game of Dust 514. Right now PC are the most competitive games we have, and they need to stay that way. Your Corp is 10 days old, hardly ready for FW let alone PC. Stop crying on the forums and start Grinding ISK.
Furthermore to all players who want CCP to open up more land, its called planetary conquest and not planetary farm fest. You want that 8mill a day district then you're going to have to fight for it.
However... Imperfects are always selling districts at fair prices. |

Well, it kinda *is* the point. PC, as pointed out, is pretty much the equivalent to an "endgame" in other games, IE. it is and is meant to be the hardest content atm. You cannot go into any other MMO and walk in to the Endgame raids or whatever there is for them immediately, can you? It is pretty much the same here.
In short, No, PC is not for new players and corps, and it was not meant to be, ever. |

Well, if your not in a gateway system to another sector, your going to be taken heavy clone losses, expect to see established corps fighting it outs at the outskirts before moving onto other systems, that leaves the newcomers to PC a chance to grab the inner districts. |

If you want your corp to remain together, you are going to need to rely on diplomacy to get land. Form an alliance with another corporation or arrange to buy land.
Your corp is basically the equivalent of a 35 man group of dudes sitting in any other conquest-heavy scenario, ancient Rome, etc, going "How do we take over a country?" You join up with the people who are capable of doing that. |

Yup, there is no doubt that only a handful of groups will control Molden Heath with in a fortnight and of course they will need to open up another region in the opposite faction of Minmatar.
My money is on Amarr, as their l0eadership is more interesting and can push the storyline a bit easier than Caldari IMO.
Dropping clone pack purchase price to 40 mill would bring more corps into the fray as well.
If CCP wants to make some money they need PC to be more accessible. More districts and a lower price means the big alliances will over reach and will not be able to defend everything.
That will open up opportunities for smaller corps if they make the Clone Packs cheap enough for 20-30 guys to buy 2-3 a week from pub stomping.
PC is the keystone to Dust 514... the main reason the majority of populace is here. Allowing it to be dominated by a minority is the failure of Eve online and they need not make that same mistake in Dust 514.
More districts, cheaper clones = more fights
Hell... Molden Heath is even shaped like a doughnut for Pete's sake...

Well..... Why should a new corp be able to take land??? I don't understand the problem here, if a new person cant get proto gear day 1 does that mean the games unfair?? if a new corp cant take a district week 1, does that make it unfair?? simple as that. |

New Eve corps are unable to enter Sov either. Both Sov and PC are designed as the "extremely hard" mode of the games, and require a lot of teamwork to be successful. I see no reason to open PC to small corps. |

I have a "reason" ; This is Dust 514, not EvE online.
Dust 514 ; MMO First Person Shooter ..."RPG" soon ?
EvE online ; Space Exploration MMO Role Play Game.

And no, I'm not gonna leave my corp for another just to get in PC. What can we do to participate in the PC equally?
I am in new Eden. I am adapting. I am asking. Thank you. You see... two different things.
Eve is not an exploration game - it's a game about war in space.
Dust is made by people the same developers as Eve, and is meant to mimic Eve principles but in an FPS format. |

It is unfun not unfair.
Who the hell wants to play an unfun game?
Other games that force you to grind tend to be fun. At least in WoW for example i can have an adventure. Hell i played the 14 day trial of EvE a few years ago...that was grinding but i also was able to have an adventure.
There is not adventure in Dust it is just grinding...and the worse sort of grinding where you are forced to compete against crap players who run out into the open with crap FPS skills and get beat by them simply because they have god mode SP/gear.
I should also point out that people with high SP/GEar today never had to do this kind of garbage grinding as when they started everyone had the same SP/Gear and leveled up at the same pace. They never had to grind against people with 10 million SP when they only had 2 million.....so there is no way players who have been here 6 months can say they "earned" their spot. |

Space Exploration is the "Genre". Example : the X series games. ( X3 Reunion ), Freelancer... to say just few.
A First Person Shooter is a different Genre.
Microsoft games did make both Halo and Freelancer, but they play differently, and feel differently ... because they are to completely different Genres.
The rules that apply to EvE, won't work in a FPS... simply because is a different Genre. |

I'd say focus on getting SP up and forming a core group of players. Try to squad together often until you have at least 30 or so people who are comfortable with each other and who are capable of voice communication. Save up ISK, don't blow it doing stupid stuff like running proto gear while you're solo or calling in tanks when your team is getting stomped. Or using dropships. Ever.
By the time your players have enough SP to at least be competitive in PC, ISK shouldn't be so large an issue. I'd recommend 6 million SP as a bare minimum but that is by no means set in stone. Practice for PC by queue syncing squads in FW, hoping you draw an organized team for your opponent. Your CEO should be looking for an alliance at this point. Your Corp will not succeed in PC by itself.
Once you've satisfied the above, you're ready for PC. As others have said, PC is the end-game here, and it's not something new corps can walk into in a day. New players will take several months. Personally I think that is a bad mistake on CCP's part, but time will tell. |
