I miss the days when we at least closer to weapon balance. Chromosome, Chromosome, where art thou Chromosome? So very much this. I'm glad the HMG isn't as nerfed as it once out of the gate with Uprising but when was the last game anyone played where less than 50% of the total weapons on the field were ARs of some kind? Even including vehicles in there I can't think of a single game I've played in Uprising where the ARs on the field didn't account for at least half of the total weapons fielded and I play every game mode currently available.

ps ~ Aside from the TAR I've so far seen no reason why the ARs in Uprising should be nerfed, but most of the other weapon lines need some attention to maintain the viability of their niche roles. |

Yeah, I've seen fewer than 10 LRs combined in all the matches I've played this week. The guy who was using the LR to greatest effect was in essence a low end scram user. The merc was fine mind you, good tactics, clearly working with his team, using cover etc. But even on a Meta 1 suit with militia mods he wasn't able to apply sufficient dps to drop me when he caught me in the open as I pushed an objective.
Granted I did move for cover when I saw the beam, but that's part of the point, the graphics of the LR contribute to how it functions on the field, I like them how they are and hope they stay unchanged but they do effect balance. The Scram and AR are both harder to track source and type visually give them an advantage with regards to average hostile response time.
I'm not quite sure what the fix is at this point but the LR, MD, and pretty nearly every non-AV infantry weapon outside the AR line needs some help. In Chrome there was some weapon diversity on the field and in the kill feed. Currently in Uprising (even post TAR being taken out of "I Win Button" status) weapon diversity is way, way down with selections from the AR line dominating use to the point there are usually more ARs on the field than everything else combined (this perception is somewhat anecdotal but I play every match type and can't think of an exception to this trend).
