Are there any statistics or information on the popularity of races in Dust 514? So far, I'm seeing a large majority of Amarr and Caldari everywhere. Minmatar is the lowest. I could be wrong. |

Well since equipment choice and race are independent it's hard to determine. My Minmatar and Gallente characters still have Caldari forum avatars so that's not a valid metric. If Dust is similar to EVE then I'd expect more Gallente characters, but that's predicated on people actually reading the description of the races during character creation instead of just mashing X furiously. |

Gallente are clearly the best. We've got FOUR EYE-CAMERAS! That's like 4D double stereoscopic vision. Plus, there's a hidden smiley face on the back of our suit to keep our spirits up. |

I think gallente and caldari are the most popular.
People point of view:
Amarr= Starwars Empire, slave enforcers, or loyal to the king people.
Gallente= Rebellion, druggy's, or freedom fighters.
Caldari= military BA's, Empires army.
Minmatar= good guys or slaves. |

Based on what I see on the forums and in the war barge, it's Gallente by a large margin. I'm assuming people read "Democracy" in the description and jump on it. Just a theory. |

starting race has no bearing on what suits you can wear, most people seem to go gallente because their dropsuits tend to be good all-rounders |

Well, most popular race is Ashland, it's a nice big loop with a good cut-through in the middle. I'd have to say Skim Junction is a close second with it's nice big stretch of roa~oh... you aren't talking LAV races. Oops, my mistake. |

What you should be thinking is which races are the most powerful in terms of player support....Dust Side that may be Caldari...Don't actually know of any Amarr themed Corps out there big market to appeal to...
But EVE side the two most player driven races would have to be Gallente Minmatar as their militias in FW are more of less in charge of things right now.
I wish I could change to Amarr as well but I still cant get my avatar changed... may see if CCP will respond to a ticket t get it changed.
EDIT- I also hate the Amarr= Slaver generalisation. Yes its true they do enslave people but its pretty much the most humane slavery operation in EVE....could you imagine being caught by Sanshas Nation and having your entire personality destroyed so they could use you as a True Slave?....

Starting race has a big bearing one what suit you start with. Nearly everyone I see in the warbarge is in a basic medium Gallente suit, most likely one of the starter fits. When I actually go into battle I don't notice many Gallente. I'm thinking a lot of new players haven't figured out the "Favorite" button yet.
so yeah, if we're talking about most popular race that people chose at the beginning, then I say Gallente by a land slide. If we're talking about most popular race based on what suits people actually use in battle, I'm not too sure. |

I didn't know about favorite (I used it but didn't know it changed your suit in warbarge) until like a month after I started playing. |

Well Furrow33 is gallente and has the most sp so I use him. I don't wanna start over on another one or else id would probably be amarr. Although I like caldari quarters better. For now when I go into fw matches I only fight for gallente or amarr. |
