Only problem I would see with it is that a bit of lag would have you pummeling to your death... Then again... That would be a pretty funny thing to see.
I rarely choose to spawn on the MCC to begin with, although jumping out of it (especially as a full squad) never fails to brng a smile to my face.

To solve camping on top of the MCC they should have the missiles hitting the MCC do ridiculous splash/knock back damage. They will either die or be blown off. |

I liked my friend's idea, he said have four NPC ELITE Heavies with Large Nova Cattle Prods to basically "Shove" people who've been in the MCC longer than 30 Seconds. Your squad may be waiting to spawn together in the MCC. So that 30 seconds is a grace period. |

Friendly fire as well as placing a ceiling cap not to reach above he MCC would solve this as well as offer no ground a drop ship can reach that a player from the ground cannot reach. Ladders, steps, whatever it takes to be able to reach those places now that only drop ships can travel. |

Fixing AFK is actually difficult. The OP's idea has the problem of you getting the slightest bit of lag and getting insta-dead. The whole "get rid of 1 second = 5 SP" is unfair to new players when that may be the ONLY SP they will end up getting.
I have seen ideas go back "1 WP = 5 SP and 1 Second = 1 SP" but that is really off base. Same problem as above but people that can pull 1,500 WP in a 10 minute Domination map suddenly go from 4,500 WP to 7,800. Newer players spend a huge amount of time trying to cap out while organize squads cap out almost instantly.
A vote kick system *could* work but having played TF2 all these years I have noticed that people almost always just say yes. I have gotten kicked so many times for "AFK" despite being number one performer as an Engineer or Demo Man. It is not an easy fix. |

when i first heard about sniping in and on the mcc i tried both and noticed the mcc's hitbox is already larger than its model if they made it even larger still(not like itd matter considering only the nulls and mccs can damage them) it would make it impossible to shoot anything other than the mcc

You're mistaking MCC "camping" with MCC "afk SP farming".
MCC Camping is what your illustration will expose players that spawn to.
AFK farming is not solved by this. All you've done is partially eliminate an element of player immersion.
Not sure why it matters if some other player on the field feels like hiding anyway. If the fight (probably a public match) isn't going well, because people feel like AFKing and/or hiding somewhere. That's not my problem. The match is lost, I'll just earn some money and snipe a few protosuits on the other side.
The problem is player laziness, and the passively earned in-battle SP (that the players voted for).
You can't stop people from being lazy by trying to force them to help you in a public match, and you probably won't be able to change the passive in-battle SP gain either if you brought it to a vote a second time.
Bad teammates are a fact of every multiplayer game in existence, and no amount of Systemic changes you create will change this. Get over it. |
