I remember the good old days of the chromosome build where everyone was using different types of weapons. Now this game makes me feel like I'm playing halo in terms of weapons. That's one reason why I can't stand halo's multiplayer. The infamous battle rifle or DMR was the cream of the crop. If you weren't using any of those two weapons you would puting your self at a serious disadvantage.
I'm starting to get that same feeling again with dust. TAC AR's are ruining the gunplay in this game. I have tried real hard to not succumb to this skilless weapon(especially if you have a mod controller). But I will not. I pride myself too much to go into easy mode. I also notice large corps use these weapons exclusively. There's no challenge if you use these and I consider anyone who uses it as a crutch.
The TAC AR is blatantly OP. Or all the other weapons are UP. If players say CCP is catering to the "halo,COD,BF" crowd and you use this weapon you are basically a hypocrite.
The game is starting to lose it's fun factor because of this style of play imo. Now all I try to do is survive a match let alone get a kill when I'm put up against a platoon of TAC AR users.
For all the naysayers that are probably going to burn this thread to the ground and tell me either HTFU, STFU or GTFO. I don't care. I'm writing this post in hopes that CCP or a CPM listen to the reasoning of an experienced FPS player who wanted something different but seeing the same kitten all over again. |

Rarely do you see someone using the laser rifle. I still use it and its pretty balanced now, even against AR user. But once that TAC AR comes into play and I'm getting shot from multiple angles, I might as well let it over heat and kill myself. The DPS of the TAC AR is too much.
In chromosome I seen AR's, LR, MD, LMG's, SR, sidearms, etc. You name it, it was in use. Maybe you just had bad luck and that's all you were getting killed by.
The only guns I didn't see a heavy use of is.... I'll have you guess. |

Go into a match and tell me how many people are using the exact same weapon.
So if there is a cream of the crop weapon, its the exact opposite of catering to BF3/COD players.

Reducing the range, or damage or ROF would ruin the point of the weapon, it's semi automatic, as fast as you can pull the trigger, that's what semi automatic does, some people can't use it, some people can use it, extremely well.
