Please give vehicle owners the option to lock the driver seat so that random blueberries can't drive off and suicide in your million isk machine. You should be able to switch seats or get out of your vehicle without worrying about somebody stealing it and losing it for you. This shouldn't be that hard to implement.
I mean honestly, how many people leave their car with their keys in the ignition and their doors unlocked? |

I agree, I like to drive around and switch to my turrent, get some kills, then drive again. but when a blueberry jumps into my car and takes off forces me to just stay in the driver's seat and just run over people because they usually get it blown up anyway. If I can "lock" the doors, or keep locked if present within a certain radius before allowing some else get on would be awesome. maybe, DNA identification to where only the merc that called it can drive it... and if someone else gets in they get an error message saying you do not have authorization...
oh wait, better idea. blueberries need to hack friendly vehicles too but hack is faster than hacking enemy because they know the "secuirity code" used to protect the vehicle... |

Please CCP! For the love of god, for the sake of all that is holy, by Oden's good eye! Make a quick hack function to lock the my vehicle when I want to get out of it and do somthing. Make a delay timer that doesn't alow any of the passengers to switch to the drivers seat before I have time to lock it. And for For crying out loud, give us the ability to kick passengers.
Oh, and another thing. Vehicles are auto destructing way to fast now. If I am spending half a million ISK on my LAV, need to be able to leave that thing siting for far more than 45 seconds, before it explodes. That is just bull*****! |

If you spawn the vehicle you should be the owner and the only one who can drive it, its yours after all. Perhaps an option to 'unlock' the vehicle, or just a setting on who can drive it (let anyone from your squad drive it for example).
Add in the ability to control who gets in your vehicle. For example, open (anyone can hop in), corp (any corp member can hop in) or squad (only squad members can hop in).
That should put vehicle management in a far better position than it is now (none). |

Better idea, remote selt distruct, similar to calling in vehicles. push some buttons on touch pad on left arm and BOOM!
Then when blueberry sees kill screen it displays message: "GET YOUR OWN VEHICLE!" |

I second this. And I wish to expand and elaborate on it a bit with some ideas I have for such a system.
Say I call in a Dropship, I want that Dropship locked so only I can access it until I hop in the pilot's seat, which then allows people of my choice to get in. Choice of people can be changed if I "hack" my Dropship and select an option in a pop up menu (much like the deployment menu). Options could be:
Recall Unlock/Lock -> All/Corp/Squad/None Eject all upon pilot exit -> On/Off
Any settings made or changed should apply to all vehicles you call in.
But what if you're with a blueberry, and he/she gets sniped while his/her vehicle is being deployed? Well you can't wait for yours, so why not take his/her LAV that just landed? I think you should be able to hack the other blueberry's vehicles to gain access to it, unless it's already unlocked to all. In the aforementioned situation, you would take cover behind the LAV, hack it, gain access to it, and get out of dodge.
Which reminds me. I was in a match with a friend. He called in a Dropship, I was his gunner, we flew into battle, he then DCed. Luckily, we weren't but 20 feet off the ground. The engines powered down due to there being no pilot, then the hull hit the ground, taking minor damage. I realized what happened and that his Dropship was still in one piece. I hop in the pilot's seat, take off, hit the repper, and get out of dodge. Luckily, it survived without a scratch. I land safely, get out, and recall the Dropship (don't ask why I was allowed to. I don't know). After the aircraft was successfully recalled, I waited around for a bit to ensure it got recalled and I left the match to regroup with my friend. It turns out that he didn't get his Dropship back, and I didn't have an extra vehicle in my inventory. So in this situation, recalling did nothing to save my friend's vehicle. He never got it back, despite my best efforts. Most unfortunate, but no tears were shed over spilled milk. I just wish it would've worked out as I had planned.
Anyways, I have more ideas but this post is already too long and people would rather the forums be read to them instead of reading it themselves. |
