To put this into perspective I have gotten more kills with a tier 1 nova knife than I have with a visiam laser rifle in the last few days. Doesn't that sound odd? I know it was powerful before and i agree it should have had its damage down a little but this aimer is just overkill! I realise how ridiculous that sounds but can you please remove the aimer on the laser rifle so i can see where I'm even shooting

Lasers are doomed.

Can you see through the haze? Having trouble tracking your target with the huge obstructive iron sight?

I can't hit for toffee now as the sight (despite HaHakoke's assertion) is complete bunkum, seriously if this was the main armament of the Amarr Empire they'd collapse in a week. Personally I really really want them to remove the sight, the other issues with the LR (short range, not as powerful as anything, arrow pointing out your position etc) could be mitigated but if I can't see what I'm shooting at its unusable. Now I'm gonna stick with it partly because I'm fatalistic, mostly because I'm stubborn, but also because I have faith in CCP to see whats going on with the gun and to FIX IT, but seriously HURRY UP I'm losing faith guys. Meanwhile I'm gonna check out this Scrambler rifle see what thats like as another option.

I mean, just as one example, who the hell complained about the camera sight? Why would you want a weapon like that to use ironsights? It has no stock! At a minimum, the camera-sight needs to come back, maybe in a more visually detailed form since some people probably complained about just having a dot in the middle of the screen, even if that is nit-picking to the extreme.

And yes, I too just run through a laser beam and kill the guy using. Scrambler Rifle sites or SMG sites, or something similiar is needed so you can see what you are shooting and track the target. A range buff would make it alot more useable too. Also, it should get at least a little damage bonus per level, as every other weapon does. And the overheat damage going up per level? It is exactly the same on the Scrambler Rifles, so why does the laser go up in heat damage per level?

Standard has less glow, advanced removes the iron site and Viziams should get good range; any combination or variation would make all of them better. I use a LR almost all the time and they are good but they have too many drawbacks. They damage the user and seize up, they only work well at one specific range, they do little damage unless they're about to explode, excessive glow, slow track speed, they give away the users position and the iron sites are obstructive. They also overheat fast, I just want a weapon that isn't more dangerous to me than the enemies.

I guess it really means that something has to be adjusted on this weapon. I did an inventory of the laser rifle threads into this post. Hopefully we will get some feedback from CCP.
