You see, what happened was ...
A long, long time ago (back in the days of Chromosome),
Calamity Jane OHK'd someone very powerful at CCP.
Some say it was CmdrWang. Accounts vary.
In the months that followed, anti-shotgun fervor blossomed at CCP HQ.
As rumors of nerf circulated, SG lobbyists united in tireless protest.
Reluctantly, CCP acquiesced and agreed to let be the damage of the SG.
But the brilliant minds at CCP would not be denied the last laugh.
Enter Uprising.
Logibros and Sentinels with EHP to rival demigods.
The TAR, the Nova Knife, the new and improved SMG.
Shotguns with stone-age range and mags laced with blanks.
Let this be a lesson to all mercs.
Should you see CmdrWang in battle,
Do not engage with your weapon of choice.
Else be assured, the Wrath of Wang will follow.
