im speaking about every person who uses tanks on dust. then theres the dropship that i only see when the other team is being spawnkilled.
theres just no line drawn in the middle with this game. |

As much as I hate to say it, I have to agree.....as of this build Tanks and Dropships are like free candy to those of us with semi dedicated/dedicated AV. 2 guys with AV can basically punk a prototype tank? That doesn't even sound right.... especially since guys in proto suits can Mob right over militia and standard tier infantry without a second thought 1,2, or 3 V1. Simply put, an 8-10mil sp sink into vehicles does NOT yield the results that it does for infantry at this point, Where it should yield more. While I don't mind the added SP/ISk I get from beating up a Handi-tank it doesn't feel particularly satisfying, like it used to. Im still costing said tanker 2-3 mil out of pocket but it used to be a serious effort to do so. Good Morning. |

Vehicles are great help. Someone on the forum suggested using dropships for snipers and it worked great for me. I'm able to fly my squad over where they need to be and I can land on rooftops, pop in uplinks/nanohives, and snipe from the top.
I have a suggestion for you. Get your head examined. |

Hell, yeah. Height is sniper's best friend. But there's more to dropships than that. We can use turrents to rain down on targets below, crash into another dropship after ejecting, land on MCC, and just take in the pretty sights from above. The point is that vehicles have their use and they have strength/weakness and how you use it to your advantage during battle. So, yes, vehicles contribute greatly to squadmates. |

Vehicles are situational. If you dumped all your SP into an HAV it's your loss. We have vehicle recall for a reason. Use it when it's needed and recall it when it won't be useful. Learn to adapt. If the opposing team is stacked with AV, maybe you should counter with something other than a tank.
We all understand that specializing is one strategy to maximize effectiveness in the first several months, but you run the risk of gimping yourself if the opposing team can counter your specialty. Duh. |

Yup, dropships are like birds. Easy targets. But it's a rock-paper-scissor game. Like I said, vehicles have strength and weakness, pros and cons. How we use them is up to us. Dropships are NOT invincible, nor are tanks. Nor are you with your little forge gun. You win some and you lose some. |

You also don't need 10m sp or even 1m sp to fly a basic dropship to use as a sniper ferry. |

If AV weapons cost millions of isk like you want, then no one would run AV and vehicles would be op. But that sounds like what you want. |

I enjoy my tanks but I feel if I don't use my railgun tank and sit in the back and just snipe it gets blown to ****. I have a blaster tank I try to run around in sometimes but it's just way to much of a risk because I have to be in the middle of the battle and damn near everyone has AV grenades. Now I'm not trying to QQ or anything but when you complain about railgun tanks in the back it's because it's not worth it to go straight into the battle. At this point if I want to go right into the heart of the action I just spawn a logi LAV and run around tanking all the AV **** because It gives 0 fucks. |

I didn't say that you didn't raise good points. I said keep your tears together and wait for things to get better. Honestly, even if everyone hopped on your nuts on this thread with - "Yeah tanks are UP and AV is OP." - Then what? You'd be happy maybe, but in the end tanks would still be trash and AV would still tear it up. Let CCP know about your problem in the Feedback/Requests (Not here.) section of the forums, and until they do something about it, STFU and HTFU. |

as yall know from my other posts. i love vehicles. in fact i never upgraded any of them once. sometimes i randomly spawn a 4wheeler (LAV for you creeps) and just run people over. i use it as a shield. if i hear the sound of swarm missles i get out and run like a thief. seriously tho nothins is better than being up against an army. Then runnin away summoning a car, going over running 1 or 2 of them over gettin out of ur car (keeping eye on cars health) slowly pickin them off with 'nades and the GEK-38, when ur about to die risk it all hop back in the car back over someone and drive off ditch the car or run it into a wall dive out let it explode, summon a new one repeat

Everything said by the OP was about as wrong as you can get. I safely call in vehicles all the time, during battle, during even matches, during matches where my team is getting killed. It is really easy to safely call in a vehicle.
Vehicles are vastly important in this game of course.

Those likes are not for the OP, those are for various posts throughout the thread. Notably, they're all disagreeing with you.
The difference between a 12m sp tank and a 60k sp forge gun? The tanker is harder to kill than he would be otherwise. A militia assault rifle can kill a protosuit - why shouldn't AV be able to kill a bad tank? Because a militia forge gunner doesn't kill a competent 12m SP tanker. |
