Igniting player interest which was waning? What a load of ****. The game has been growing in numbers steadily since launch and I would guess 90% or more of the players have not even been involved in PC yet. |

It actually has ignited interest. One of the big sells for EVE is being able to be that super secret espionage master you always pretended to be. The fact you can do it in an FPS now, is very intriguing and has made EVE Online players far more interested in this "expansion" than they previously were.
There was a clear lack of a meta-game until recently, and as the forums have indicated this has breathed new life into an otherwise plateaued community. |

Player gets hired as a raw recruit, spending zero time gaining the trust of the mercenary corporation. CCP hands the keys to the MCC to every probationary member of every corporation. Said recruit takes the MCC for a joyride during a PC battle.
The joyrider trumpets his super secret spy skills as if it were anything other than a broken game mechanic. Players desperate for some form of metta game trumpet this broken mechanic as a breakthrough in gaming.
Eventually CCP fixes the broken mechanic and requires real effort to infiltrate a corporation. |

Its barely metagame
It takes nothing to get into a corp and ruin a PC match
When it gets fixed these so called super spies are ******
Also new players looking for corps are also ****** since every major corp in PC or looking to be apart of it has stopped recruitment |

No, CCP gave the MCC to the corp that owns the territory. The corp then gives the new recruit access by recruiting them. |

By that logic:
New employee hires into CCP as probationary forum moderator. Icelandic regulations requires CCP to pass out the root password to Tranquility to the new employee. New employee runs rampant through Tranquility bringing it down during an important game convention with the gaming press in attendance.
New employee is hailed by outsiders for his leet spy skilz. CCP fumes but players tell them to HTFU, they should have formed the "Tranquility Holding Company" to own the server. |

Real world analogies don't bode well in video games where only pixels are at stake. Also, there is a EULA. I suggest you read it. Anything it does not expressly forbid is permitted. Likewise, a CCP employee will have signed an agreement to the effect that such action would have consequences. Just like any action taken in DUST or EVE, whether it's in line with, or against, the EULA.

Exactly, its not meta game at all. Its abarely concealed exploit with too much reward for too little gain. |

If AWOXING keeps up, CCP will lose potential new players and some veterans who are frustrated with lack of control on PC. The term "Welcome to New Eden" will not suffice as much in DUST because simply, the game is free, people can pick it up, get frustrated, leave the game and play other FPS out there that offers more "fun" than "frustration". Lets face it, EVE has a lot of contents, you can do so much without engaging in PVP, while DUST is ALL about PVP.
I'm not saying I'm against "infiltrating" other Corps, I just want a compromise, something like, Corporation Officer will get to decide you can join PC and who couldn't. Makes "sabotage" missions a lot harder and requires the "Spy" to gain the trust of the Corporate Officer, just like in EVE. |

It's not an exploit, and there is a lot to be gained. Like whole districts. And making corps stop recruiting, thus speeding up the process of player atrophy in those corps.
The fact that we at Gried U have instilled so much fear into the general population that corps are kicking new players before corp battles is a better outcome than we ever expected when we decided to unleash this onto the galaxy. |

Anything done in the name of new players ultimately benefits old players more.
If you neutralize awoxing and the like, who really benefits? New players, who are no longer exposed to a metagame and thus are playing simply another FPS meat grinder? Or cowardly old players, who no longer have to take responsibility for their own security? |
