Never played PS2 but i would go for Halo 4. Both shares "sturdy" enemies (with shield and armor) that don't go down with a few shots. And both have bunny hopping around, tought i think the latter is due to the crappy aiming. If tracking enemy movements weren't such a pain you probably wouldn't see many people jumping around in firefight. At least that's my n00b impression |

I would say Borderland is closest in term of gungame, stat, skill of both gun&character. |

Game type and structure is almost exactly like battlefield 3, skirmish 1.0 sounds like a carbon copy of Rush mode.
Actual gameplay reminds me of a mix of halo and borderlands. |

Coming from Space Marine I have to say it reminds me a lot of that gameplay, except there are no jump packs here, but instead dropships to fill the vertical fighting aspects.
Shields and health, how they behave and relate are about the same. The Planetary Conquest is also something we as a community has strived to replicate, but here it is coded into the game.
All in all I feel feel very much at home. |
