To Dust Community,
I am here to inform the Dust Community that Hellstorm has had to take some measures that we have promised from day one we would never do. The actions of CRONOS has affected this reasoning that we are enveloping. Seeing how the CRONOS alliance is so hyped to send players into corporations to affect their results within Planetary Conquest by team killing corporation members.
AWOXING
As a result of these actions on the Dust Community, Hellstorm has decided to make another corporation under the name of "Purgatorium of the Damned." We had to make this corporation to pull every player from Hellstorm into this new corp. Players remaining in Hellstorm are a select amount of individuals who will continue to represent Hellstorm for the time being. We have to take this route to ensure the security of Hellstorm in Planetary Conquest. We hope this opens up the Dust Community ideologies of what exactly is going on whether it's "meta-game" or "New Eden."
This particular idea isn't something that can be overseen. The longevity of these actions will affect the influx of newer players; corporations will now demonstrate recruiting with measures of trust. New 'characters' on the game will be questioned and over looked, whether the validity of the player is held true or not. In the long run, this will kill Dust. Again, as a security measure we have made another corporation to sustain Hellstorm from these actions.
All future prospective applicants will be applying to this new corp to secure the assets of Hellstorm. We thank you for you time, and again hope this shows the depth of these actions upon New Eden.
I will be open for questions and comments. Thanks again fellow Dust mercs.

Look at what a good job CRONOS did.
They had fun, and they helped another corporation secure their corporation. Here at CRONOS, we believe helping is the key to happiness. |

Wouldn't the comic be sardonic because we are laughing at the actual situation not a screw up. With satire we make fun of the screw up. The comic points out they way it actually is in EVE not how the system is broken. |

Um... No.
What this will do is break up would-be kaijus that can't cut the management mustard.
That means more corps fighting (rather than less), which is a good thing. Heck, if all of the kaijus break up into baby monsters, maybe PC in Molden Heath won't turn into a NAP fest. |

Iron Wolf Saber wrote:http://www.cad-comic.com/cad/20120625 Diffrence being in EVE (as opposed to Dust) there are actual player tools for both screening/application and internal access control once accepted. With those in place (as they are in EVE) situations like this become a part of the game and the responsibility for the Corp to secure their own assets. Lacking those tools as is the current state within D514 it's just a broken mechanic PR mess waiting to happen and denigrate the sandbox.
If any of my fellow EVE players believe this reasoning to be in error I present to you a simple test to prove me wrong. Manage your EVE Corp/Alliance without the use of the aforementioned in game tools. Step 1 ~ Remove an and all use of API in any form. Step 2 ~ Cease to check employment histories any further back than a couple of months Step 3 ~ Set all access to public and give all Corp and Alliance members roles that with only two limitations, first they cannot use the Corp wallet and second they cannot accept applications. Step 4 ~ Keep a stash of PLEX on hand so that anyone from anywhere can create a new (non-trial) account without the investment of money, and essentially do so without limit.
With these steps in place please move to Null, or at least Low and start the clock on your Alliance. If it lasts the year under these conditions I will applaud your abilities and reconsider my stance (oh but having a 2 man Corp or 12 man Alliance who's not recruiting at all is a complete cop out).
For those choosing to participate please contact me in game with full API information for your Toons, Corps, and Alliance so that I am able to verify the required steps have actually been taken and maintained.
If I get any takers I will be dumbfounded ~Cross |

That's a good point Cross, I've been wondering what it would take for the devs to finally add roles and api availability to D514 and will wait a bit longer I guess. Hopefully this will push them in the right direction sooner rather than later. |

This is a smart move. Similar to what was done in Eve before the alliance functionality was mature.
And CCP is sensitive to the FPS community. If this was really like Eve a teammate could team kill a tank pilot and then recall his HAV to his own personal inventory. |
