I don't give a rat's about controlling the CPM, I just had a lengthy conversation with many of them about balance having no place in the CPM because even 6 godlike intellects wouldn't have a good solution that was also representative of the niche users in question. The lowest peg of CPM0 is a person, not the group. As long as you stay away from talking exact numbers you are one of my favorite CPMs because I trust you have the best interests of the community and the game in mind as well as a fairly good idea of why people get upset. Democracy IS a crap system of government that no sane country uses (hint, US isn't a democracy). You end up with mob rule without limits and checks to powers.

That is one misconception of the CPM I have to say though. It's entirely possible for a non-dust player to be doing our current jobs with the current issues we are most dealing with. While I would like to see Dust players pick CPM of their own destiny it would be unfortunate the people replacing us would think its all about bug fixing this... Balancing act that... Feature Push this. It doesn't take the Top AR player to tell CCP that Latin American Players are unable to download the game. It doesn't take HAV master to tell CCP that Sony is Fubaring AU and NZ over on the 'imaginary' taxes. It certainly doesn't take the average grunt on the ground to read the forums and tell CCP they screwed up royally somewhere on Uprising expansion, it certainly doesn't take a Genius to tell CCP that not reaching out to the players to figure out where they messed up is a bad move.

Yup that's why we need to have the meetings to figure out things and see if it is possible to come up with a metric.

I don't want you fired in the slightest. You are good at the job CPM was intended for. Help CCP help themselves when it comes to balance. NO ONE who is not receiving a paycheck from CCP should be using authority as a weight to their opinions.
