Sorry I just find it funny how anyone could think a car isn't supposed to run people over. I had a game where I got 23 - 0 by reversing into clueless redberries with my methana.
Cars are effective weapons as well as transport vehicles... GET USED TO IT. |

Welp, DUST is not about skill. Skill might make you better, but DUST is about war. War, by it's very nature, is an act of cruelty. I don't care how good you think you are, if I have a way to kill you regardless of any skill imbalance, I will take advantage of it. You've obviously strolled into DUST thinking it's like every other shooter. It's not.
DUST is not about the SP. Just like EVE, SP are only half the picture. The other half is getting experience, and learning how to outwit, outgun, outrun, or outright just run over your enemies if you can. You have no idea how common I get hate mail from kids like you on EVE when I suicide gank their mining barges, complaining about my "lack of skill" as if it means something compared to the 100mil isk or more mining upgrade modules I looted from their wreckage. I don't really care what you call me. What matters is whether or not you can kill me. See you in game.  |

Just on a side note, don't you find it ironic how in the same thread that you're complaining about lacking the skill to not get run over by, I dunno, packing AV gear or joining a squad with an active AV unit, or just getting outta the way (seriously, you have no idea how hard it is to keep those things steady while aiming them at a moving target sometimes), you're trying to talk yourself up as some hotshot best-at-everything uber-Cthulu-soldier? |

Maybe instead of having your little 'rant', you should try using an LAV more often. I spend most of my time as infantry but I don't get out my car until it's a burning wreck.
The feeling of running people down is awesome, especially if you're listening to dubstep.  |

Bahahaha. In the last build, I had an epic moment. On Manus Peak, there was an LAV running around running over blueberries. There was a guy driving, and a guy on the turret... I shot at the LAV to get its attention, it started charging at me, I tossed an AV grenade at the last second, blew it up, and jumped out of the way of the wreckage.
I think my legs were hit or something, cause I took a little bit of damage... |

In the last build LAVs were easy to kill, now they'll survive most things, which is why I happily drive through squads with no fear.
I drove through a 6 man squad of LA 501 EME and killed 5 of them with a baloch. #ComeAtMeBro |

Let the noobs get their noob kills against other noobs who are too dumb to get out of the way. I prefer to bullfight the LAV's, and eventually stabbing the driver in the face and killing him with ishukone knives while hes in the driver seat. That's skills to pay the bills. |

Noobs arn't the only people who use LAVs, skilled drivers can weave through compounds filled with obstacles, why not try it an see how many times you crash?
LAVs are as much a tactical asset as a tank when it comes to getting kills, if your squad had at least one skilled LAV driver then you could go about rounding redberries into corners to drop OBs on etc. |

and why would I try it when I get twice the kills LAV users get while im actually on the ground and not embarrassing myself.

I ran over a few people the other day and felt pretty terrible. Granted I roll as a scout and I use my LAV to get across open ground so I can bail and be in cover where I have a chance to survive and they were infront of me.
Apologies to any I did hit, I have on occasion tried to swerve around red dots :P
I think the biggest problem is that at times your AV grenades could take out a Baloch and others times not so much for whatever reason. Perhaps just nerf to Baloch so one Packed AV Grenade can kill it? At least that way if someone wants to spec into LAV's for whatever purpose they have access to good ones while those who roll in the free Balochs can't enjoy the same benefits. |

While killing with an LAV is cheap and incredibly easy to do, there's no reason it shouldn't be there. Free LAV's need to be removed however. |

Spec into some kind of AV. Not just grenades, but an actual weapon. Proximity mines might be acceptable too of they got buffed along with vehicle HP. I'll get back to you on that one. But in the meantime, use a swarm launcher, plasma cannon or even a forge gun and quit whining. You probably run around with a TAR and a modded controller. |

Just went death taxi'ing in my saga, 5 kills no deaths. Best part was when a guy tried to forge gun me instead of getting out the way, he lost the standoff badly. What was also great was running him down again when he respawned. |

If you get flipped, you can cycle through the seats and it will right you. Work on rope-a-doping your turn radius, so that the targets stand still until the last minute. I'm working on aerial kills off of natural ramps. Kills in reverse are extra-insulting (I personally want a back-up beeper). Oh, and props to that fella who drift-plowed me yesterday, twice. |

my saga has a 2660 +%10 shield. it not only runs over enemy well, it destroys all other LAVs including blue ones with collisions
sadly the devs will probably nerf LAVs tonight after reading this thread- it only takes one noob whining for them to nerf something |

Ask CCP to unnerf tanks and I gaurentee you there will be A LOT less lavs around. So here's your choice: get killed by free LAVs or by million isk tanks that are GOOD (dont exist right now). Because theyll be the same people either way. If you say anyone in a lav above mlt level, they are actually a tanker with nerfed tanks that have adapted, rather than died, just like ya'll wanted us to. Tell CCP to buff our tanks and we'll stop using 0 ISK lavs to kill you. Fair? |
