I went Amarr Assault with proto scrambler rifles, but what you want to spec into is your choice and your choice alone. |

Hehe that questions is like poking to a just settled beehive
Ok logis are in general the swiss army knife guy of the battlefield rocking several equipment slots. The logi is mostly based around supporting the squad and making them much more fighting capable by forexample supporting them with ammo, giving repairs when needed (logi, heavy combo is really nice) reviving downed players, putting remotes at objectives, etc etc you name it. Bad side is the lowered base EHP, stamina, missing sidearm (except for amarr logi) and overall running / walking speed compared to the assaults so these guys are not meant to go heads first into a combat scenario.
Assault is much more a slayer of the battlefield. If you are always the guy who jumps straight into the battle dodging as many bullets as you can and getting the enemy killed the assaults is something for you. Assaults have a good base EHP, stamina and running / walking speed which make them agile and able to sprint / strafe for longer periods of time. With their higher base EHP they can also withstand longer firefights better and y having a sidearm you can put together some funny attack theories like killing shields with a flux or Scrambler rifle and then shifting to flaylock and taking down the targets armor. What the assault is lacking is the swiss army knife capability the logi suit has. With only one equipment slot no matter what suit you decide you'll always have to trust a logi to either rep you, give you ammo or revive you. (unless you are always running in a squad of 6 very well organized assaults i guess you could spread out the tasks)
....Wildcard option.......... Well if you want to go with the Fit Of The Month (FOTM) you can go with a caldari logistic suit with a tactical AR With the tac AR no damage mods are needed because damage is already insanely high so you can use all your 5 highs to rack up shield extenders. With your 4 lows you can pack some stamina mods to get up to assault basis and maybe a cpu upgrade to compensate for the shield extenders .... Ohh yeah and a minor armor tank if you get fluxed of course... (Above is proto suit fitting)
So yeah that's how i see the roles of the assault and logi. |

If you want to be a Logi... go Logi. If you want to be an assault take Medium suits to 5 and stop there using the rest of your points to buff all your core skills. |
