Got the same problem. Its downloading but 1 percent an hour or so. its really weird and pretty much at some point it disconnects. I haven't updated the client in a while and pre-launch the PSN told me there is a 1.32gb update which was downloaded in 30 minutes. then i launch the game and the game is telling me its downloading 1.32gb patch...
what's up with that ccp? i didn't have these problems with Eve over last 10 years.

Also i have followed the port forwarding sticky but no change.
Basically right after the "Loggin in" screen i'm taken to the EULA screen and client says it is downloading update but it never goes above 5%. the first 2% take about 30 seconds to download but then before it reaches 5 it consistently looses connection.

update. putting PS3 in the DMZ did not solve the problem. Port forwarding, assigning static IP and disabling UPnP on PS3 and the router helped. No more disconnects but client updates are downloading painfully slow but i'll take it! At current rate i should have the update downloaded tomorrow morning which is ok but not great considering it took me 13 minutes to download 1400MB full client from PSN store
