I have been trying for a week. have followed all instructions on setting up my router and network correctly, shut off media services and I still have random timed failures on the download of the available update. Sometimes the update gets to 15% others it will not make it past 0.02%. There are no issues with my ISP and I am able to connect and play all other online games, get on PSN, watch Youtube and ETC.
At this point I am loosing patience as I want to get back to playing the game but I simply cannot find a way around this, is there an available offline update I can get, is there something I am missing? again, the connectivity issues are ONLY with DUST. |

Got the same problem. Its downloading but 1 percent an hour or so. its really weird and pretty much at some point it disconnects. I haven't updated the client in a while and pre-launch the PSN told me there is a 1.32gb update which was downloaded in 30 minutes. then i launch the game and the game is telling me its downloading 1.32gb patch...
what's up with that ccp? i didn't have these problems with Eve over last 10 years.

Hello,
If you are still having the in game update issue, could you please do the following?
1. Let us know your external IP, you can get it from - http://www.whatsmyip.org/
2. Run a traceroute on your PC GÇô
a. Open a command prompt window
b. Type this command: tracert dust.dyn.ccpgamescdn.com
c. Save the output from the command
3. Find out your ISP name
Then please reply with the info for your External IP, Traceroute output and your ISP. We will look into it asap.

Also i have followed the port forwarding sticky but no change.
Basically right after the "Loggin in" screen i'm taken to the EULA screen and client says it is downloading update but it never goes above 5%. the first 2% take about 30 seconds to download but then before it reaches 5 it consistently looses connection.

update. putting PS3 in the DMZ did not solve the problem. Port forwarding, assigning static IP and disabling UPnP on PS3 and the router helped. No more disconnects but client updates are downloading painfully slow but i'll take it! At current rate i should have the update downloaded tomorrow morning which is ok but not great considering it took me 13 minutes to download 1400MB full client from PSN store

Yeah, I'm having the same problem except when I go to download the game client it stays at zero percent and doesn't move. I tried the two test pages and was able to view them so I have no idea what the problem is. |

Maybe some of this information will help. My problem is weird, but it does point to a potential flaw in the patcher, and I've been unable to get Uprising installed since the first hotfix was rolled out.
First, I know my connection is gimped. I'm using my Android phone as a hotspot because I'm still waiting on proper house internet. My connection will drop, throw up 'hey you're 600gb over your daily allowance please for the love of god stop and click here to continue' webpages, overheat the phone and need restarting, and suffer wildly variable download speeds. I'm pretty sure it doesn't support UPnP either, and have disabled it in the PS3 network settings as a result.
Despite this, everything else gets there eventually. Torrents, game downloads, video, you name it. On PC and PS3, they weather the storm.
Dust's update system doesn't. The game's PSN download will always finish, eventually, even if the phone needs restarting a couple of times. It's never broken, corrupted or failed on me. But once the in-game client update starts, it'll run fine for a while, and then at a certain point, fail permanently. Often at exactly the same point. Any attempt to restart and resume the download will leave it sitting at 0.0% (or occasionally 2.something%) of whatever total I hit before it choked. This cycle has happened at least ten times over the course of the last two weeks. No error message, no rollback, just an initial burst of healthy activity followed by a freeze in transfer speed at the start of a new chunk, even when my spotty connection has long since recovered.
HARD INFOES:
My latest attempt is stuck at 923.15MB with the percentage at 0.29% and zero transfer speed. It's stopped at exactly this number a few times now. The transfer speed will never rise above zero, no matter how many times I retry, or how long I wait. The first 300mb of transfer went as normal. Sometimes, when I restart, the bar will instead read 0.0% complete and the size will have increased slightly to 925mb. Since nothing has downloaded since the last attempt, it seems like it might be confused about what it has and what it still needs to get?
