People want to leave the OP fits when they get fixed and move on to the next win button fit asap. |

It's invalid because you personally disagree or hate the fact people are getting up to two repsecs sometime relatively soon? Nice Its invalid because you say people like me (wanting to specialize in something not in game yet) are calling for it. I am opposed to it. |

Ric Barlom wrote:Jin I've gotta tell you something right now, bro, because I've been noticing a certain trend with your posts, man. That trend being that most of your posts make absolute sense, no question about it. Keep it up, dude! Now as far as respeccing skills go: Absolutely not! No way in hell! That's the worst idea ever and goes against everything that makes EVE and Dust 514 great. Haha, thanks man. when I first started reading your post I was expecting a criticism. I have been on dust forums so long I expect the worst. |

Agreed, this was more in response to the "respec system" people wanted. Not in response to error respecs. |

CPL Bloodstone wrote:True there must be boundries but this is a free to play game. This die hard stance on not allowing respecs will hurt this game not help it with new non fanboi customers. Your seeing it from a gamers perspective im looking at it from a customers perspective. Some customers haven't the opportunity to go thru multiple refunds/resets and try different things until they can find what brings them joy.
Not to mention CCP has made quite a few mistakes with descriptions and such. how about a solution that does not compromise the integrity of the decisions matter aspect. If I plan and choose wisely and train for months for a great fit, than word gets out and people hit the respec button and all my planning was meaningless. how is that so hard to understand.
1. Militia variants of ALL weapons
2. Careful planning
3. Acceptance of choices made and the consequences of them.
Edit: 4. Fun |

Yes. It's your fault that CCP chose a clever (not really) release date, instead of holding off release until they had what most would consider the bare minimum amount of content. It's your fault that CCP released an incomplete game. It's your fault, and you should be punished for it. We're missing: LAVs for 2 races, HAVs for 2 races, Drop ships for 2 races, and we're missing 5 dropsuits. All of which should have been in the game before CCP decided that this was ready for release. Not offering at least a partial respec would be a mistake on their part. Everyone would prefer to have complete racial symmetry on release but art pipepline and game design can only handle so many projects at a time. That is a sad reality and CCP has to deal with it just as we do. Also i already said this in another thread but the difference between lvl IV and V is the same as 0 and IV (damn you romans for not having zeroes!). That means you can put your current class to IV instead of V and use the saved to spec into the desired class as it's released without sacrifice in efficiency or delay. Entitlement versus Reality in here... we are outnumbered. I understand the scope of this game and am happy being patient. CCP does not owe us anything, and they are trying hard, its not like the suits were not ready because CCP decided to watch a marathon of Firefly, they are trying and we should not act like spoiled children.

You know, youtube has this thing called the "pause" button yeah, i do. I also know a standard three second pause would have improved things, is critic forbidden here? I was stating an opinion, not a personal attack. It could have been done better. go console him you are wasting time trying to internet me, i dont care. ^This BTW is from Laurent's fanfest video where he showed the stats for the new suits and weapons. You know what would have improved release? More content, is critic forbidden here? ohh how detectivy. I stand by my critic, but in retrospect I would have chosen a less witty (i thought) and less rude (the truth) way of expressing it.

it is unfortunate that the racial variety is not complete. Maybe if once the other variants are put in CCP could put in the extra work to transfer all heavy dropsuit skills into your preferred races equivalent heavy dropsuit skills, and so on for the suits that are not in. I dont see that compromising the decisions matter aspect, idk |

It is now launch, we have 3. Now, that build got deleted and they started from scratch so it's understandable that their plans changed, but still, we went from 8 to 3. They might have lowered their goals just a little too much. Thats reality, sometimes being optimistic has its downside, I would rather them keep their goals high and I will just be patient with faith that CCP (makers of EVE) will pull off those goals. maybe you are just passionate, because you can't really prefer them to aim lower, right? So they are dreamers, thats a good thing. |

Assault and logistics players didn't need to do any of that, just saying. Is it too much to ask for fairness? Whats this "fairness" you speak of? Do you mean entitlement? |

They didnt get all suits out, lets move forward and not put into place systems that could be abused. I really want to be a min heavy AV, but am still having fun. Even though my second choice of fun boom weapons (MD) is also apparently not ready for.prime time. Thats where the patience helps me. |

Skihids wrote:You are all set if your fitting is high in gank.
If you made the mistake of skilling into a role such as Scout, pilot, or support you found that your choice is sub-optimal because the answer to every problem in DUST is "more firepower".
The only challenge CCP has provided for us in any game mode is "how to shoot the other guy in the face".
The answer to that challenge is high DPS.
Everyone who chose to skill into a non-assault role will want the opportunity to go Assault.
It's really that simple. Then a round of balancing happens and choices of OP fits cost you, and should continue to cost you. Decisions, decisions. |
