For those that are arguing for regular respecs because of new gear, Eve players never got them, why should you? If dedicated Amarr pilot thought the latest and greatest Caldari ship was better than what they had, then they had to spec into it. CCP never said, oh BTW, since we added a new ship or changed the ships we are going to give you all your SP back so you can start over. In fact, in all the time that I have played EvE, I can only think of one respec that was given and it was because they removed essential skills from the game.
For those that want to argue, "This isn't EvE!!!" This is the game you built, this isn't the game you invested millions of dollars into, this isn't the game that you thought of, and if respecs are a make or break deal for you, then this isn't the game for you. |

Yes. It's your fault that CCP chose a clever (not really) release date, instead of holding off release until they had what most would consider the bare minimum amount of content. It's your fault that CCP released an incomplete game. It's your fault, and you should be punished for it. We're missing: LAVs for 2 races, HAVs for 2 races, Drop ships for 2 races, and we're missing 5 dropsuits. All of which should have been in the game before CCP decided that this was ready for release. Not offering at least a partial respec would be a mistake on their part.
Wait one second, until CCP showed those items at Fanfest, there was never any reason, stated or implied, for anyone to think that those items would EVER be in Dust. You knew exactly what this game was releasing with, CCP themselves released the information a week in advance. It's not like you were surprised, caught off guard, or even promised those items before they were announced at Fanfest.
Go QQ to mom or play Star Trek Online.

This die hard stance on not allowing respecs will hurt this game not help it with new non fanboi customers. Your seeing it from a gamers perspective im looking at it from a customers perspective. Some customers haven't the opportunity to go thru multiple refunds/resets and try different things until they can find what brings them joy.
Not to mention CCP has made quite a few mistakes with descriptions and such. how about a solution that does not compromise the integrity of the decisions matter aspect. If I plan and choose wisely and train for months for a great fit, than word gets out and people hit the respec button and all my planning was meaningless. how is that so hard to understand. 1. Militia variants of ALL weapons 2. Careful planning 3. Acceptance of choices made and the consequences of them.
We live in a society where people think that they are exempt from such things. We live in a society where tons of people want things handed to them and think all of life is just one big reset after another. |

BECAUSE if you played eve and it only had ammar cruisers you would skill into them if you wanted to fly cruisers. Then they release 3 more races of cruisers and your stuck in ammar becuase the game was released half finished. It's not the same AT ALL as wanting a respec to get into something new, its a respec to get the scout/heavy/tank you wanted ON RELEASE. But they failed to deliever with no ETA on when the game will finally be bloodly finished. I'm an 8 year eve vet who plays in beta I know what I'm talking about. They didn't release eve half finished, so a respec was never needed. ALSO I've gotten skill points refunded in eve when massive skill changes took place. So shut your mouth.
How could have possibly known what you wanted for release, when until Fanfest CCP hadn't even announced those items? You speculated and gambled on something that didn't happen, bottom line. CCP never once promised those items.
As far as the Massive Skill changes in EvE, yeah in my 6 years of playing it's happened once and those were for SKILL changes. Not adding new skills, taking away skills that changed the way the skill system worked. You are asking for a respec because you want something that you have no idea if you'll want when it's released. Perhaps they are crap suits or whatever and you won't want them. Don't QQ about repecs for something that you have no idea what it will or won't be other than to say at Fanfest CCP announced these items. Doesn't matter. They announced T3's for EvE, but didn't tell everyone they could have repecs so they could get into the new flavor of the month.
You want repecs, go play Star Trek Online or Star Wars, we'll see you back in a week when you stop crying.

Yeah one reset in 10 years, and it was for skills being removed from the skill tree, NOT additions to the skill tree.
But I just want to call you out as a troll right now:
With all the venom you spat in your quoted comments above I find hilarious you are screaming for constant resets when in fact you said and I quote:
crazy space 1 wrote:The option won't be given untill we have 6ore weapons and the 20 new dropsuit skills
Not to mention all of the new tank skills and dropships incomming. The number of skills is going to triple sooner than later a reset is obviously coming. And all the testing you've done won't help u pick what to respec into.
Sloth, even you have supported the continious ability to repsec, but you said:
Sloth9230 wrote:Matakage wrote: And are you actually upset about the time you invested in a beta? Let me remind you -- it's a freaking beta. You lose your stuff when the full game comes out. That's when you HTFU, vets.
A beta where we were told that we would get to keep our SP as an incentive. As an INCETIVE, most people were here for the SP alone. Of course you want a reset, you barely have any SP, lets see you say the same thing in a year if your're still here.
So I'm confused are you guys for or against a reset? U say one thing here and other things in other places. So are you for or against, or maybe you're just trolling. In any case, you've shown you either change your mind more often than your underwear or your statements in the forums bear no relevance and we should ignore you altogether.
