500 K doesn't even get you a proper drop suit/weapon, around 3 million you can compete effectively, 1-2 million should be initial to let the noobs gain some vantage point. |

CCP basically confirmed dropsuit core upgrades are where they want. If they want core upgrades as expensive as they are what constitutes as "fixing"?
Also spell checking on Vita is a pain in the *** |

Oh from reading the weekly update I didn't read that at all.

What, you think you guys can actually do something about it without having CCP push the sp requirements elsewhere? Also, lose the attitude please. Hard to have a discussion when you're being sarcastic.
I was referring to that post as well fyi, I can't copy & paste in Vita and don't have a functioning computer. |

Chances are CCP will continue to review and renew the NPE experience so SP readjustments over time or Rookie Boosters is not out of the question either. |

Vehicle electronics can justify its costs, but engineering just can't, the bonus is worthless. Only reason you should level it up is to get access to PG mods. |

Not trying to disagree or anything.... but...

That last part seems to make it sound like they are happy where the SP costs are, and makes it sound like they are simply moving it around in the tree so it unlocks different things or has different prereq's.
I swear, it's almost like CCP is full of master politicians who try to sound like they are answering your question while being as vague as possible so they can't be called on it if they change their position...
But to the OP, I could definitely see that being OK since the grind to max your class seems to get longer and the newer players are bound to make some mistakes. |

Inversely it can still be taken the other way, this is not clear cut and the statement was made before CCP started work on the tree. |

If you're going to give noobs more SP, give them a proper tutorial, so they don't waste even more sp in the beggining |

That's actually a valid point. Most new players I know, but have not had the opportunity to explain the basics to, are making outright wrong decisions due to the fact the JUST WANT TO PLAY, not research the tree to the full degree like the vets.
And why should they? The start to a game should be better explained and then tactical decisions come later.
But to the OP, I agree. The changes to the skill tree are making 500K SP a pathetic start to the game. |
