Modded Controllers?
and be honest, cuz from all these threads crying about you'd think nearly 87% of the playerbase is cheating.
Iv got one ( alot of help it gives my FG tho ) |

My guess it would be very low, even though tac's are one of my greatest enemies atm, I know how fast some people can press a button. I just think of a mario party game where you had to hit A as many times as you could in 10 seconds, my record was like 70. One of my friends record was 144, so I figure there has to be other people like him out there. |

Anything that will let you Fire a semi-auto weapon at full Auto wether it be actual mods, Turbo controllers, or whatever the KB/M guys use. |

7 people I know personaly are using them on this game since the tac made a comeback.
They love them, and get silly kills with it.
I just won,t spend the -ú100 on a decent one, I'm good enough already.
Shoulda learned your lesson last time round CCP.  |

I have spent all my time (and extra dollars) just trying to get a standard DS3 to work in DUST. 
Once I have that solved, without having to buy new controllers on a regular basis, I might have the time to check out the modding scene. Hint: don't expect me there anytime soon. |

Sorry, I only use a modded controller for Call of Duty so I can turn the pistol into an smg. As for DUST, modded controllers won't help me because guns are alien to me in this game. In DUST, the way of the knife is the way to go. |

I can confirm my controller is modified it was a standard DS3 but I think the pad is a little small so I covered the back of the grips with some foam to make it more comfortable. |

Yea I modified mine by adding some silicon grips to the sticks so that my fingers dont slide off of them while playing. |

I use the Duvolle TAC but no modded controller. Don't own one, i think finger shoots fast enough and a modded controller would just make my aim more off than the game already does.

I don't understand how using a modded controller is cheating. Just because Sony made a crap controller doesn't mean I have to use it as is. When I was in the Marines I strapped duct tape to my sling and rifle to brace it better. So, if you are an enemy combatant would you complain to NATO that I kicked your ass too easy due to forethought?
My controller is my weapon. Customizing it for myself to shoot you better is my prerogative.
That being said I use the Frag Fx Shark and it is the best thing I could have bought. Half controller, half mouse.
If you can't worry about customizing your game experience then blame yourself.
I suppose next ppl will complain about people using the particular mouse they choose to use.

Correction. I WAS terrible at the game. Now I can kick your ass just fine. I suppose that is a concern for you standard controller types now.
There are hundreds of millions of gun owners in this country, and not one of them will have an accident today. The only misuse of guns comes in environments where there are drugs, alcohol, bad parents, and undisciplined children. Period.

The problem is, that your life isn't depending on winning a console game, whereas real life combat situations tend to be life threatening. To make a lame real world - gaming analogy in response, bringing a monster truck to a horse race will most certainly end in your disqualification (Even though last time i checked there was no explicit rule that said "thy should not run over thy enemies' horses in backstage using your monster truck to eliminate the competition"). Games are more (or at least should be more) related to sports than real life combat (you know the term e-sport? doesn't come from nowhere), it makes sense to get a common ground for the participants. Personally i couldn't care less if you add silicon grips so that the controller feels better in your hand, be my guest and do that to your hearts content (that could be considered "in-line with rules" as they don't directly interfere with the input you make to the game). But if someone uses rapid fire mods to artificially increase his/her firing speed to a level they wouldn't be able to reach with their own skills. . . i think you get the gist.
You yourself said, that you used to be terrible in the game and that you now can kick ass just fine. Sorry to tell you, but in the real world (yay another ******** game-real world analogy coming in) you can't use a motorbike, just because you suck at the 100m Dash. Deal with your own shortcomings and either change the sport (Tabletennis for example) or just get better at running.
And yes. If said mouse comes with rapidfire, then we will complain about people using said mouse, and rightfully so. |

For MKB user, mostly that is going to be macros. While the game itself doesn't support macros, there isn't much that can be done about keyboard or mice that use them. My mouse supports marcos, but I'm a controller guy myself. I'm not sure if macros will work on PS3 tbh. I know some KBs store macros internally, but have to be programmed through a PC which would be easy enough. Once the key is set, the PS3 might just recognize it.
Also, hitting keys fast on a KB/M is a lot easier than on a controller. |
