Amarr will definitely be getting a Heavy weapon of some kind.

It will probably be a Super Death Laser of Doom and Destruction.

For now, you get reload speed on Heavy Weapons or reduced overheat damage on the couple of non-Heavy weapons that have overheat damage.

Op is right in that 2/3 slot layout is immensely superior to 1/4, makingframe suit much better than sentinel.

Once we get plates that don't have movement penalties for less armor, plates that have built in reppers for even lesser armor and resistance modules, you might change that train of though.

I am currently using a std sentinel heavy suit, the thing is 3x cheaper than the base frame X that by a year and that is a lot of isk saved. My entire fit I am using atm for pub matches costs 11k isk. I also figure some time down the road we are going to get a laser hmg ( hopes it is like the one from fall out 3 ) if so I would assume it can overheat and actually damage you, vs the one we have now that no one overheats and if you are bad and do overheat it, it does no damage to you.

yeah, so its better to wait for that specific weapon to come out before speccing into the sentinel suit, though it would be nice to see a laser hmg

Proto sentinel is better for point defense during actual important fights, ADV sentinel is better for random pub matches due to lack of cost and room for speed mods.

Basic frame is better for "herp derp i've got two damage mods".

Any advantage is a good advantage, i'd rather have that 10% reload speed bonus then to not have it.

I don't know what suit's you've been looking at on the marketplace but Ammar Heavy Frame ak.0 is most definitely 2 high, 3 low. The Sentinel ak.0 is with 100% certainty 1 high, 4 low.
