Back when I used to play EVE Online a couple years ago, there was an article where it was said that there were only 5% of female players on it. I have no idea if that number have gone up since my absence from there. It was a cruel world dominated by men, which I can see why it turned most women off. Ever since I first played here since the Beta, I've seen a rise in female players and I am glad for that. I am pretty sure there are some guys posing as females, but that's a minority since you can really tell which are which for the most part. Personally, I think this is a good sign since Dust 514 is more cooperative than most FPS and it will draw in even more players for that reason. What are your thoughts on this? |

I got my girl into this game, she has never in her life played a fps and she ******* loves this game. So much so she is getting her own ps3 so we can play together since we are in the same corp. Its been awesome teaching her and seeing her get better. |

Eh, I couldn't care one way or the other. The first girl I met on comms here was pre-fem avatars, and she was the most confrontational wench I'd ever heard. The first guy on comms was BADFURRY tho, so it was still a step up. First FemAvatar I saw was a GuyInRealLife, so I dunno how you know if more female humans are playing the game, but my squad seems to be all female as of late and its not like they shoot worse than the doods. Game is a game, the faster we can forget about applying the gender politics the better, but just don't forget they exist. |

I find it a true novelty when I hear a girl's voice on comms. Just the voice. I know that I'll probably never be able to actually see this girl in real life, so the voice is all I get, and I make the most out of it. Keep playing and talking girls, and know that there's this one creepy perverted dude here that loves the sound of your voice.
