Sure, it sometimes took a whole 2 clips to kill someone. But the sensitivity was a little buggy and everyone was adjusting to it. If you were able to shoot straight, you could kill most people with 3/4 of a clip and finishing an enemy felt GREAT! You had to WORK for it and have actual gungame to get that kill. Now every weapon has it's damage jacked up so far that you can drop a fully fitted protosuit in 8-10 bullets from an ADV level tac AR. With a mouse, that's like .3 seconds.
Heavies aside (heavies are now about as effective as all the other classes were BEFORE the damage buff), this damage buff has taken all the skill out of the game and made it a game where almost every weapon can kill people before they can turn and defend themselves. I'm running almost 700 health, but if I get shot first I may as well be in a pair of socks and some tighty whities.
That 10% might have been just right for the lower damage weapons, but with the higher damage weapons things have gotten completely out of hand.
Can we get rid of the damage buff for all weapons but the HMG? Seriously, the gameplay has just deviated THAT much from the core gameplay that's kept me here for right at a whole year now. Now that the aiming is fixed, we don't need more damage. We need tactical gameplay.
Side Note: Are you sure that 10% wasn't already added in? Because I can now 3 piece an installation with a militia swarm launcher. In the previous build, if I was REALLY quick with the lock-on so the shields didn't get back up any, I could 4 shot it with a basic swarm. |

Well its a forge gun, it does 1200+ damage. Why would you want to hit a turret installation with more then 3 hits with a militia forge gun... Also the game needed a +10 buff to all handheld weapons. I mean why not... Its a game man, Me and Sota fake PoP are here for you... (Geth pats you on the back)-- whispers and says its a game dude...

hey op, I was thinking the same thing. I actually had a chance in most situations I got myself into. Now the plan is trying to make sure you put more than 90 yards between you and everyone with a tactical assault. And I mess that up quite a bit. |

Do you really believe bullets evaporating after 50 meters is less ridicules then ones that evaporate after 30 meters?
Do you really think nerfing rifle stats in a FPS to accommodate other weapons rather then making the game mechanics of those other weapons more compelling is not astronomically idiotic and horrible game design? |

I agree. I felt the damage increase was unneeded for the majority of the weapons. Heavies needed a buff in terms of damage and range, but other than that it was fine. Battles were challenging, and you actually felt like your advanced/proto suit with heavy tank actually had some tank.
Now no matter what you do you're pretty much paper, so might as well fit as much gank as possible to compliment that 10% boost.
[On a side note, if there HAD to be a buff, I wish it was a smaller percentage. Like 5% or 3%...] |

Please, CCP, do not further gut the mass driver. It's already had its blast radius reduced by one-third, and people can still jump over the damn blast zone. God, if only folks could do that with explosions in real life, there'd be a lot less dying on the world's battlefields.
As for the Duvolle TAR ... well, folks will always gravitate toward the easiest weapon to kill with. |

The scrambler rifle has clear drawbacks in overheating to make it dynamic and interesting. With that perspective in mind, I think the TAR needs it's clip size cut in half, along with it's ammo capacity which is insane. If I didn't use grenades I wouldn't need a Nanohive. Leave everything else the same.
As for the 10% damage buff across the board, it was needed with aiming all over the place. I had a few 1x1s where we both gave up after running out of ammo and went separate ways. Lol. Now that things have settled down, I don't care either way. Either pace is adaptable. |

Sorry I don't see the problem now but, I didn't have any issues before either. The funny thing is I am a ninja knife scout with an EHP of 189.
zap I think if u r having issue with ur tanking I would say it is ur lack of movement or use of cover that is bitting u in the rear. This is not a shot at ur ability bit, it is common for someone to use these less when u feel ur tanking is enough to deal with it.

also I do think the TAR needs some tweak until the new range setup is brought in. |

The 10% boost is fine, we had it pre Uprising with weaponry.
If your dieing a lot use more cover and move around a lot.
As a Scout i rarely die because of my speed and my ability to flank the enemy. |

Which is why we were fine with the new tac until the extra damage hit it. Lower damage weapons don't take nearly the same damage drop the tac does by loosing 10%. 10% of 75>10% of 36 for instance. Maths, use them.
Also, I'm a Minmatar Assault Burst AR user. Not Caldari, not Tac. |

Other than the fact that the Tac is the only thing that can kill me, I don't think it's a problem. Maybe it's because I'm a scout and that makes me hard to hit or something. I really fear all the TAR QQing will lead to an over nerf of the only weapon that is decent. If someone kills you with the TAR, and you're not just standing still, then the guy who killed you has skill. The SCR even more so... that gun needs a buff

That's just it though, the TAR is the ONLY VIABLE WEAPON because of it's COD like ability to drop people in a handful of shots. In addition, it can out range almost every other light weapon in the game. If we're gonna be spending massive amounts of ISK on a dropsuit, we don't need one weapon out there that any class can equip and has some of the lowest SP req's in the game being able to drop us in less than a second.
It's clip is too big for the damage it does, and it's damage is to high for the potential ROF it can have |

I using the AR.. i can't use the TAC with the mouse, is nearly impossible to get a decent firing rate with it...The tactical have officially became "the" DS3 weapon in Dust. I think most mouse users, finds the AR easier to use with the mouse. |

I suck with the mouse, but I ran it with a tac about 5 days ago (mouse/ds3 combo) and mopped up despite the severe issues with mouse aiming. The aiming is so precise that you just gently glide the mouse down as you pop that trigger as fast as you can. Effortless kills, that's all I can say.
If you can't do it, I'm sorry for you. Because there is no easier way to get kills in this game. And if they ever get the mouse settings fixed, we are all TAR ****** |

What can drop a proto guy with 8-10 bullet between 1-80 meters other than the TAC anyway?

I said, very clearly, roll back the 10% damage increase for all weapons EXCEPT the HMG.
Which would, in turn, make things even BETTER for heavies.
