In the sight of general confusion among Dust players on what falls into which category (https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=77287&find=unread ), and the fact that certain Drop suit path bonuses involve these. I would personally like for a cnfirmation.
What weapons are ''Laser weapons'' ?(like the ones AMARR ASSAULT has bonuse for) What weapons are ''HYBRID'' ? When something says it improves MELEE damage, does this include NOVA KNIFES (that happen to be a MELE WEAPON)
This is a SMALL request and it would really help some of your player base to make the decision on which path to take.

Laser weapons would be any (and probably all) of the Amarr weapons, which right now are the Laser Rifle and Scrambler Rifle (since the Scrambler pistol doesn't overheat.)
This is common knowledge in EVE, but I can understand how those who haven't played would be left somewhat in the dark.
Fun Fact: Hybrid weapons are called that because the ammo they use can either have the plasma suspended in the round run though a cyclotron and then spat out (like the Plasma Cannon, AR, and Shotgun), or the whole round (plasma + container) can be fired from a rail gun (which is what all the rail weapons fire, plasma suspended in a container, allowing the kinetic damage from the hypersonic container to do damage as well as the release of plasma upon impact.)
Well a LOT of people that play DUST 514 have NEVER played EVE. so yeah its only Natural some people dont know.Even if I appreciate your input,between EVE players there is a Discrepancy on which is which. I think as you say scrambler Rifles are a Laser weapon an makes sense since the Amarr assault has a bonus for it, and it would fit.... but i would prefer to be 100% sure before spending 3+ mil on a drop suit path.... |

Still,if can you assure me that if i take the AMARR ASSAULT PATH the reduction on overheat will apply for the scrambler rifle... (i mean it DOES makes sense but you never really know, and i actually HATE laser rifles, but the scrambler is way too fine) , i might take the chance then , i love taking head shots with that thing even if at CQC is not very useful.... |

yeah and i don't think we are gonna get more Re specs for a LONG time. So better be safe than sorry. In any case i would be willing to use HEAVIES that thy do specify that they reduce FEEDBACK damage. Since S.Rifles are the only ones at the moment that do this its pretty straight forward.
but i dont know. Im at work, i just hope somebody from CCP can give me a concrete answer on this before i get home.....
(not that i don't trust you, im 99% convinced you are right, i mean it DOES seem AMARR ASSAULTS are designed for S.Rifle usage, but dude you never know XD and i dont want to EF it up.....) |
