So the game finally launched! Congrats and I hope it goes well CCP.
I heard that vehicle HP buffs were coming so I was very surprised when I just logged in to see that my Python fitting has LOST about 400 hit points or so. (The Caldari shield tanking Assault Dropship)
I'm not going to whine about that too much as its apparent that doesn't work lol!
What GOOD ideas can we come up with for the dropships. They could do with a HP buff. Possibly a resist bonus as well?
Maybe give them a high resist bonus and a lesser raw HP bonus as to diversify them a little from ground vehicles. |

Everytime we make a feedback thread ccp seems to do the exact opposite of what we suggest. |

gbghg - I know what you mean. I saw LAV`s get buffs while dropships lose out?
I guess the loss of hit points it due to the skill change? So can we expect to see improvements to dropships? |

It is immensely irritating. I suppose we need to just listen to Iron wolf and "Learn to fly better".
Or ask for drastic nerfs and maybe they'll make DS viable? |

Oh sorry, Now I saw the word 'constructive'.

Dropships do need a buff, or at the very least a new class that has loads of hit points, but you loose out on some attack power. once we get points for insertion/e vac, this could work to our advantage |

According to blam their working on getting us a load of cool stuff like WP for MCRU's and maybe scanners, new turrets, countermeasures etc. but from the sound of it it's all a while away. Until then we're just going to have to deal with this **** and carry on as usual till it arrives. |

now that aside. they may have some stuff not added yet. but to throw out a few basic ideas make the STD DS less "heavy feeling", rework the ADS so the side turrets can have overlapping fire with each other and the front turret(AKA move them forward) have ammo resupply modules for LDS that give small amount of wp. Im a ground vehicle guy but hey I like seeing them on my team and that means I might see them of the other team and they need a purpose other then target practice. |

The only thing my dropship seems to adopt is useless blueberries/ high explosive missiles/ or projectiles traveling at over 7000m/s. |

Honestly they could just make dropships cheaper until their ISK value corresponds with their value in battle. Then everything would be pretty golden and we wouldn't be in that HAV-situation where our equipment needs to survive precisely 5 battles before exploding to be both cost effective and not overpowered. |

DS are way more expensive than redline rail tanks. |

So guys a quick update :
It appears CCP is aware of the issues we are having with dropships, and they have both code and smaller changes in the pipework to make dropships all round better. Including ways to earn war points.
However I still see nothing about there HP values or anything along those lines. Nearest I can read is they plan for countermeasures..... Great!
C/M`s wont work again forge gunners though and asking most DS pilots, its the forge that we have a problem with. |
