A devious thought popped into my head a few minutes ago.
Currently, only corporations within the same alliance can see who has placed an attack on one of the alliances' districts. This was something that I glossed over initially. I now realize its gravity. Knowing who your next-door neighbors will be is equally, if not more, important that who is attempting to attack you. A powerful corp could be blindsided by an alliance that attacks a majority of the districts on their planet and not know until it was too late.
This information has limitless potential. Corporations might volunteer to protect a weaker corporation on their planet from an incoming attack. Hostile alliances could be attacked prematurely to guarantee the district to a friendly corporation. Information with such high utility should come at a high premium.
Info Broker (I almost called you the Shadow Broker for a second), In the spirit of DUST and New Eden, I implore you to collect this information and sell it to those who would like to know. While it may be hard to obtain this knowledge at first, remember that those with tight lips may have looser wallets.
I hope this suggestions gives you pause. Your opportunity to make a mark on the history of New Eden starts today. |

Yeah buy what's to stop him from feeding false info to people to further his devious plans? I doubt any Corp or alliance leaders will trust any info that doesn't come from someone inhouse. |

In my eyes, your question plays into the growth of the Info Broker's potential new role. He (or She) will be judged based on the quality of their information, as well as how far into the future his information stretches. A corp member might know what who is attacking their neighbor's district today. The Info Broker might know who plans to attack the district during the week.
Secondly, someone might try to bribe the broker. They send him ISK to give out faulty information to a hostile corp. At the risk of using the term meta game incorrectly, I think this is a great opportunity to make PC even more interesting. |
