Honestly I hate how so many people are saying scouts are supposed to be shotgunners or supposed to be snipers. Neither of these are what a scout really is. Though I think part of the problem is people are using scout and light frame like they are one and the same. I'd love to see the scout get a better scan radius and then add a couple more customizations to the light frame, "Marksman" and "Flanker" or something a long those lines for people who want to snipe or people who want to be a speedy assault player. But let those who actually want to be a scout have the tools to actually do the role. |

Even in Chromosome when the TAR wasn't godly I was having great success with it on my scout builds. I still think the scout suit needs a buff to scanning range though because right now it's pitiful, it's only useful enough if you are a sniper on a hill and can spot someone right before he sneaks up on you. But again, that isn't playing the scout role, that is playing as a marksmen. Scouts are more mobile and spend a lot of time infiltrating bases, we need a larger scan radius.

(I really wish there was a visible stat that shows the range increase) Check out my thread I linked on post #2 in this topic, I have the maximum range calculated and a chart labeling where the distance indicators are on your radar
