Not when you play it like a sniper. Hell, it does the sniper role better. Like Manus Peak sniper better. Got some hate mail on my alt's mantle for this too. (Duvolle TAR is a little OP though) |

I broke out the math and figured out how far a Proto Gallente Scout with 4 Complex Range Amplifiers could scan, and it's 38 meters. Exactly, it plays like a sniper should have been playing all along. It looks like aside from EWAR, the Gallente scout is being groomed for sniping too. |

Try it with dual catylizers. Minmatar scouts make speed tanking a thing now. My corp director found a new strategy where he rushes or flanks a squad at full speed, running past them and picking off anyone dumb enough to follow. In a squad, he runs distraction and while everyone turns around saying "WTH was that?" the rest of the squad overtakes them from behind.

Just a minmatar scout or dragonfly with stamina booster, enhanced hacking module and remote explosives. So much fun :).
I did the same thing with my old Logi VK.0 with stacked catalyzers and a complex codebreaker. My squad would blob to one point while I ran the other side of the map, hacking everything in sight. I never timed it, but I think you can get hacking down to ~5 seconds. I got 3 levels in my racial bonus and can hack under 10 seconds already. |
