Logis are simply slayers who have traded some combat versatility so that they can support the team, that does not mean babysitting is their primary role. they are simply far to versitile to be mere babysitters.
In FF Black mage can learn a few basic healing spells, that does not make him a support character, white mage is the support character.
Having some properties of a support character does not make you a support character.
In a way, we're more like Red Mages than the White Mages everyone thinks we are. This is going to hold true once active EWAR modules and equipment get added. I really think there was a reason they gave our suits such high CPU/PG and a ton of slots and why such an SP sink for us.

Let me put it to you this way, if you are in a two on one gunfight, and your teammate dies. Do you
A) revive your teammate
B) kill the red
If you chose A, then congratulations, you just messed up your teammates KDR for no reason (which I used to do for fun in Chromosone  )
When having to choose between a fight and a revive you should always fight. Of course, I'm not saying you should chase after a fleeing red and just abandon your teammate either, you should be able to make the judgement call between chasing after a kill or helping a teammate, it's those choices that will either make you a good logi, or a terri-bad one. |

OP assumes all logis have always been nothing but medics. I have buddies that have run the suits to slay with, and have enough ammo and remote explosives to keep themselves going. There is more than one way to play any suit, so for the love of god dont make my already over sp needing, under hp, under stamina, under speed suit become more gimped! |

No no no no. Just change the useless shield recharge bonus for damage per level on the assault and nerf Caldari logibro to shield recharge instead of shield tanking. Me, as a logibro, can live with the shield recharge bonus. |
