When people in full proto gear run in squads in pub matches, do they actually lose more money than they gain when they die, or do they tend to lose so little that they are overall positive in the money department? Just a question |

Pretty much - couldn't you tell by how much SP you need to get anything? Have fun doing what we did and grinding since January. I took February off and am now playing catch up for it. You new guys must have it rough.
But if you can get past that SP mark to the land of being useful the games great with all the meta players have invested in here. |

I'm pretty bad. It's at 1.00 right now. I've been very slowly losing money though over the last few days, and I feel like my k/d will plummet massively unless I keeping using the gear I've been using though. I guess I should just stop caring about k/d and play the game. |

KD means nothing. I'm one of a handful of Proto people in my squad, and I lose money or break even generally. I'm also a Logi, so proto is really my only option at the moment. |

Honestly, I generally have a net gain most games if I'm running with a full Proto squad. I've had a net loss overall since the build first released, but a lot of that is from being in quite a few less than optimal squads.
To clarify, I'm running a shield tanked Proto Minmatar Assault shotgunner. I usually earn about 200K-400K ISK per Skirm, die 2-5 times (actually losing 1-4 dropsuits), and get about 20-30 kills. |

I ebb and flow. I run a proto scout and run it like an assault. so i die. but killing a heavy proto 1 v 1 is pretty sweet :)
Also, I just discovered using the triggers for acceleration/braking on my new guristas LAV.. I die, but am having so much damn fun I don't care.
It helps I got 180+mil on the 6th  |

My proto scout shotty fit only costs me like 90k... I die often if its the open maps cuz tac ARs dominate. However on the smaller maps i usually only die 1-4 times while gaining like 250-350k a game. |

I dont run proto, but the fitting i run is 89,100 ISK.
I have 156 suits and 122M in the bank, so at this point IDGAF.
Logi by the way...

i generally profit, but i also generally run with at least 2 other squadmates with needles.
the needles are ****** up ATM, but even saving 1 or 2 suits a game is a big deal for the bottom line. |

Hmm, specialisation isn't equal to Proto, of course you may be running the Proto suit in the specialisation tree, if that's the case sorry for the stupid comment.
I just have a feeling that 90% of people here think that all logis are proto (as are assaults, you know these shiny white suits ;) when they're not. |

Pretty simple really, if they die in proto gear 3+ times they lost money (most of the time, unless your team lost a lot of assets)
If they are dying 0-2 times they are still making money in the best gear they can run.
With how cheap the top end gear is now I run proto 24/7, I used to run advanced (proto is only ~90k now with a GLU-5, my old adv fit was 80k) |

lol... i PRIMARILY use full BPO's, occasionally pull out an ADV out of frustration... since 6th iv profitted a full 7MIL... and my kd HAS dropped from 1.68 to 1.66, but ima logi, and equipment selection is horrific, and compounded by hellacious hit detection... its to be expected |

Running basic medium frame proto recently and I still go positive in isk for the reason that I get paired against other proto gear. I get 300-600k isk at times due to this fact. I may go negative in some games compared to the isk reward but the average nets me to be positive but not as much as my all BPO of course. |

na depends if there matched with an even6 man sqaud then they will loosed hundreds of thousands of isk.
they probably wont even bother with proto.
but 90% of the time they get put against berries and the protos all decent players theyprobably wont even get a death |

What are you even putting on your proto scout? Aren't proto base values around 85,000+ ISK? So 5,000 ISK worth of stuff which could probably fit on a lower tier scout suit. Unless either the values are considerably different for scout suits or I'm forgetting the values. |

If you die 2 times or more this proto suit + weapon, you will loose money. So if you just die one time, use it always of not, i do not recomend it.
Its great because the ******* people re stupid right now and all ******* people spend its money on Proto just to fight agains thoose who take proto. Its mutch better use normal gear and wait a few days, when they dont will have a ******* credit  |

i generally buy my suits in bulk, i have a few hundred of my sub20k suits, about 50-100 of my adv and about 25-50 proto
i save the proto for when im running with an awesome squad
i run the adv when im solo but want a fighting chance (usually when im trying to cap out but dont have a squad
then i run the cheap stuff to mess around with various random fits and not care about dieing alot while i get funds for my restock
i buy things on a one week cycle, i like to use my good stuff to cap out as quickly as possable so i can spend more time messing around and playing with random game mechanics. |

The racial (minmatar) proto scout is only 50k. |
