So I read somewhere here on dust51forum something I think written by Cosgar about needing to buff other classes and not nerf the logi's. Someone also commented somewhere on another thread about giving assault classes a more meaningful bonus to keep the slayers of the game from just using logi, and his suggestion was 2% increase to weapon per level. I think if they nerfed the tac damage (which I personally think they should nerf if a bit and nerf the max firing rate) this would turn assault players back into viable classes worthy of the battlefield. While suspect there are more things that need to be done to the assault class besides just the racial bonus what do you think would be a more viable racial bonus? |

Weapon damage instead of shield recharge is cool.
Gallente: same but for all light/sidearm weapons instead of just hybrid Caldari: same but for all light/sidearm weapons Amarr: same it's the most useful atm Minmatar: + Clipsize to light/sidearm weapon

All they need to do is switch the bonuses for assault and logistics classes.
BOOM. Instant balance.
Logistics suits have no business having survivability bonuses when assaults are stuck with fitting bonuses. Seems backwards.

I think +3% Shields and Armor per level instead of shield recharge would be pretty good in making assaults quite a bit beefier than logis.
2% extenders per level for caldari assault
and 5% recharge per level for caldari logi.
move the 2% hybrid reload to min assault and lose that weird clip size bonus. |

Startup here
I attempted to start this discussion and it was immediately attacked by CoD kiddies screaming "NERF" as if it was the friggin 80's and they just released a new mega launcher.
Cosgar has made a few useful posts in my thread as well as others around. Kudos to him.
I knew immediately the non-Logi spec suits would need some major adjustments and buffage, I just really don't play those classes and have no idea what would benefit them the most honestly, but really, the jump from 2mil SP to 5mil for the same suit and a minor stat or ability buff isn't worth it to anyone BUT logis currently. As it's also necessary to get our suits in the first place it just comes hand-in-hand.
I'm glad someone at least is trying to get some ideas together even if it's not a part of my own discussion because some of the more mature players and forum members here need to try to help educate the other less fortunate about game progression rather than letting pre-teens just kick and scream till they get their way from CCP and honestly, in the long run, make EVERYONE unhappy. |

Yes, Cosgar and I have been relentless with this idea. Assualt and sentinal need a 2% dmg increase to light and heavy weapons respectively for role bonus. I even suggested removing the 10% increase we received, just to make them the "slayer" classes they intended to be (assualt for attacking sentinal for defending.)
Secondly, I suggested that, logis get a role bonus to decrease pg/cpu for equipment. Also was suggested to lower cpu/pg on all logistics suits, making it harder for them to equip all complex mods in the highs/lows. |

Then who would heal logis, and why would assaults need us besides supply depots? Babysitting heavies isn't exactly fun now that all they do is hangout at objectives.
Just give assault players a damage bonus. |

I like this idea quite a bit. Though, I'd rather not lose the shield recharge bonus, but I guess I'm biased as a shield tanking assault.
As for the Logistics bonuses, the only adjustment those need is a reduction on the effect of the Caldari. Logis need the passive armor rep, they have to be able to passively maintain their own HP, since they should be spending most of their time tending to everyone else. |

But going along with needing Basic Suits V just to unlock the type 1, there has to be some reason they didn't want logistics in basic suits. IWS has been hinting at EWAR modules in one of my other threads. We might actually need that CPU/PG just to equip these debuffs and they wanted to shoehorn them exclusively for logistics. If anything, they might not even be equipment but active modules to go into our high and low slots. Just a thought. |

I hear what your saying, but if they didn't intend ewar to be used specifically for logis, why give them the enhanced cpu/grid? And if they did? just file them under equipment, so then we have to choose between ewar or medic. |

Because if, and this is still a big if, they're making them high slot items, they're probably going to give them a high CPU/PG, to limit other classes from just stacking them and making them active modules. Other lower cost active modules might come out for the other classes, but if they're going this route, it makes sense to have the high CPU/PG we do now instead of a fitting reduction for equipment. Trying to think from the devs point of view. |

Poor game design to plan skills and suit builds for LATER release elements.... Anyway, check this and give some feedback:
Don't mod the suits, just these bonuses:
Amarr: Ehh... Acceptable, not sure what to do here. Assault: Nice Amarr: I dunno... Armor Rep module bonus? Maybe they want their lasers though so maybe not...
Gallente: Logi: Spot on CCP. Gallente: Decrease to armor plate speed penalty 5% per lvl over PG/CPU?
Caldari Logi: Logi: Acceptable Caldari: Shield Recharge bonus 5%?
Caldari Assault: Assault: Shield Extender mod bonus 2% (because 5% of anything module-related is broken as all get-out). Caldari: Acceptable... maybe?
Min Assault: Assault: Okay. Maybe recharge SPEED > rate? i.e. switched to Regulator over Recharge capacity. Minmatar: 2% L/S dmg bonus |

Actually, that's the best suggestion I've heard so far. When you think about it, don't you need as much fitting as possible to be a good Logi? +1 from me. |

Wait, are you talking about each individual race and not the class(assault/logi) bonus? in the case, the caldari bonus still needs to get looked at, it's simply too much.
And The Amarr bonus seems like it should be left alone. |

Thinking about it more, it makes a bit of sense that assault and logistics both have the same armor/shield tanking capabilities, though right now logi has the slight edge when it should be assault. Differentiating them by making the assault's guns stronger but logis more equipment would seem fair. |

(Then also nerf CPU and PG by like 10%-20% overall to really encourage logistically play and not assault+1 play) ASSAULT: overall bonus 2% bonus to weapon damage. SENTINEL: Overall 4% bonus per level to resistance against small arms fire. SCOUT: Amarr assault: 10% bonus to weapon ammo capacity per level ( amarr i can't figure them out. Though i think they bonus right now is silly) Amarr logi: 10% bonus to armor repair module and equipment effectiveness per level (again donno what amarrs thing is so please come up with better. Has to be balanced with gall and this doesn't seem it) Amarr sentinel: ??? Gallente assault:5% reduction to armor plate drawbacks. (actually making the gallente assault more viable as it's not gonna be soooo damm slow. Armor doesn't regenerate as fast as shield so might be a brick you meet at first engagement but with no bonuses to reppers they'll be slow at getting back to max HP. Also encourages to run with logi.) Gallente logi: 1 HP/s passive armor repair per level. Gallente scout: ???? Caldari assault: 3% bonus to reload speed. ( meaah again not best ) Caldari logi: 10% bonus to shield regen per level. (that 10% extender has to go it's by no way acceptable) Minmatar Assault: 5% bonus stamina regain and maximum amount. Minmatar logi: 5% bonus to hacking speed and DISTANCE. Minmatar scout:???
ok your post looks a bit similar to something i've posted before but your posts seems a bit confusing so what i'm thinking can be done to the suits bonuses i'll just add to yours. The scouts and sentinel are still question marks because i really have no idea what ccp wants them to do accomplish. |
