Anyone who specced into vehicles skills has been screwed over and has lost ~500 k SP because CCP needed to fix the bug.
This is also true for other skills.
And those who specced LLAV but realized the rep per didn't work are also screwed cause they might have specced something else. |

They never said anything as such, you are only basing your words solely on observation. However, I do believe there won't be a respec any time soon unless a whole wave of new content comes along to do so. |

No for a respec yes for a reset and an increase in sp payout here is why we want everyone to be on the same playing field instead of matches were people get Nstomped wouldnt be fair to the new people and if they were to increase the sp payout to like 10-15k sp out of every match i'd think we'll do fine |

No.
This logic leads to a respec everytime they release a new suit. This is a silly reason to respec. -1 if I could. |

Two thoughts:
1. You wouldn't even be asking for this if they didn't already give you one required based on skill changes.
2. They are not changing the skill tree again so another respec is pointless. Are the skills broken? Maybe, but that can be fixed by fixing the skills themselves - lower pre-reqs; lower time modifiers, etc - and then giving a refund for ONLY the skills that had the pre-reqs lowered for or the time multiplier, and then only to the base line - "since you need random skill 3 now, and you trained to 5, we will refund you the SP spent to take you from 3 to 4, and 4 to 5. You can reinvest back in this skill or another of your choice. Huzzah" |

This is a silly reason to respec. -1 if I could. Partial respec for those who invested in light or heavy suits would work though. Do you honestly think it's right for heavies and lights to be forced into specific suits if they don't want to wait months for theirs to arrive? If you do then -1 if I could. |

1. Read my last post for my suggestion. 2. He was asking for a full respec, not a partial. And respec is the wrong word - refund is more appropriate - refund for changes to the mechanics, not a change for the content. |

It's not going to come on the 14th, but there will very likely be a revamp to the skill system (Changing SP modifiers, not the tree itself)
And there is very likely going to be an -Optional- Respec when that happens. Players who feel they've been shafted will have the opportunity to change what they've trained, and players who are fine with things can stay as they are.
Also, regarding the OP:
Hotfixes for the LLAV and vehicle skills are apparently cooked and incoming shortly. (Note: not soon. Shortly.) |

This makes more sense! An optional refund for skills effected by changes ONLY. As I said. Thank you for saying it a second way in case people didn't understand my logic. |

If they are going to be changing the amount of skill multiplayers that could potentially change the your entire gameplan on where to put skill points. Plus other CPM members have stated if it happens it would be a full refund.

The optional respec will affect all skill and allow players to re-allocate all SP they have accrued, not just the 'problem skills' as different people have different views on what the 'problem skills' are :P

NeoWraith Acedia wrote:Jin Robot wrote:Purona wrote:they shjouldn't even think about respecs until new suits and vehicles are introduced And here we go, the respec would NOT be due to new content, there will always be new content. This is the danger of allowing respecs, people will think its for the wrong reasons and I can already see the "why no respec for new vehicles, you did it before, unfair!!!" threads that will roll in. Yes, but something like the commander or pilot suit getting added is different than us getting the missing scout and heavy suits. Those two, along with assaults and logis, are the 4 main roles, and I don't understand why CCP would ever release the game without them. (although it seems logis are now considered a secondary role ) It's simply unfair that scouts and especially heavies have no alternatives while assaults and logis have all 4 suits to choose from. This isn't just new content, it's content that should have been here by the time of release. The fact that it's not is a failure on CCP's part, and the players should not be punished because of it. So yes, we need a respec, but only once the rest of the content is here.
This isn't just random content, it's content that should have been in before release.
Though a partial Sp refund for dropsuit skills would work as well. |

I thought Shotgun was going to be viable and fun, as it used to be, but it hardly is anymore. I want out of this deathtrap. If CCP hadn't made it so hard for new players to spec, I'd say 'fine' and just make a new character, but they did, and I want my points back.

All dropsuit skills, I now there's people who speced into assault or logi suits because they didn't want to use the Amarr sentinel or current scout suits. |

Well then you'd have to do the same thing for weapons since people may be waiting for the Minmatar Battle Rifle and have been using other weapons in the meantime. All these scenarios pop up.
What CCP should really do is make a statement and make it clear. Everytime they add new gear that is a racial variation of something in the game right now, a respec will be done. Why? Because this is all stuff that should of been in the game from the very beginning. Note that I'm saying this should only be for racial variants of current gear. When they add fighter jets for example no respec should be done.
This would be wonderful because it would work for the players and would encourage CCP to hurry up and get all the racial variants out (ok that may not be seen as such a good thing to some!)
