While I understand that heavies have already been hit by Uprising, I feel reducing the accuracy of forge guns is a good idea. Forge guns are mainly an antivehicle weapon, but currently they can be used as a long range one hit kill sniping weapon. While I have no problem with their range, I feel a slight inaccuracy factor, only a couple degrees, would make forge guns less of a sniping weapon while still maintaining the ability to support at long range with the splash damage.
The forge guns main purpose would be untouched, as vehicles are large enough that slight inaccuracy will still result in a hit. So what are your guys thoughts on the matter? |

Not only are forge guns pretty much the only usable heavy weapon atm, it's also bloody hard to kill infantry with them unless they stand still or you catch them in the right spot. I've killed my fair share of protos with a forge gun, and i can tell you it's not an easy thing to do, especially in uprising!
The majority of weapons can take down a heavy in the time it takes to charge and fire a forge gun (depends on the circumstances tho) |

forge gunner here.
its very difficult to one shot someone. flat shots are almost impossible. i go up high and u can get ppl with splash damage. 2-3 shots tho. i got 16 ammo and it takes 5 or so shots to kill a tank. i can get a few killis on infantry and still fulfill my role. u shud move most ppl i kill lose there sheilds and just keep firing. they shud be running.
we got nerfed a drop ship gan outrun forge gun shots now. remember that when u post crying about dropships. ur asking for ur protectors to be nerfed. |

After this change, forge guns would still be very much usable. The only thing it would reduce is the number of one shot instant kills you get. |

This. Forge sniping is not easy. When I get home ill link you to a clip from last night when I was aiming at a sniper it said % 100 chance to hit and I fired and missed. Theyre kinda a crapshoot. |

Forge guns are fine. You just need to learn how to play the game |

Read the descriptions of the Forge Guns: "Anti-Infantry Weapons." That they're also good at AV combat is a side-effect.
You need to crouch and not move to have perfect accuracy with a Forge Gun. Your target needs to be standing still, ideally. Ideally, they are at mid to far range, not close; in the latter case your best bet is splash damage so accuracy is not an issue.
Try something out before you make suggestions like this one, you obviously never used a FG. |

As has already been said, Forge Guns are already inaccurate, and you have to be good to work around their limitations. |

forge sniping is one of the most difficult things ive done in gaming.
Im pretty decent at it now, but no where near what I would consider proficient. splash radius feels broken currently, meaning a direct hit is the only chance you have. now granted im running around with forge prof 5 blasting holes in everything that moves.
dropships cannot outrun forge bullets... they CAN out range them. with the new lack of ceiling DS can fly out of range, but also are out of range for killing anything at the same time.
lucky for them cause i have yet to see a DS that lasts more than 3 shots. some pilots are skilled and quickly get to a safe distance to rep. fun game of cat n mouse.
and if you REALLY get me riled... my wiyrkomi breach forge hits for a little over 3400 per shot...
yea thats not a typo |

I agree with cubs and everyone else about the forge. It's not easy to kill someone and you really need high ground to be effective. I tend to favor the ishukone assault and during chromosome I was using the dcma breach and firing for just over 3.5k per shot.
It's people like this that QQ about weapons, which they have no experience using, make the developers nerf for no real legitimate reason. |

They aren't 100% accurate anyway, my shots don't always end up where I want them to. After learning to compensate and use them effectivley at least your pretty much saying nerf the player imo |

People don't seem to comprehend this, forge guns are already inaccurate.
There are times I aim at the body of a tank and miss by as much as 10 meters. Yet I can hit a sniper in the head at the same range. It is odd, but you already have what you are asking for. |

Just because you have reduced accuracy doesnt mean that forge guns should suffer too. |
