how can CCP justify making tanks, tankier, when dropships are really just flying LAV's with extra turrets and passengers.
i forgot to mention a myron dropship chassis costs 20,000 isk more than a gunnlogi tank chassis, and it's got less CPU/PG, less high slots, less damage output and less passive resistance rating than tanks do.
how does this make any sense when a dropship literally has no defensive countermeasures, and at the same time is much more visble as well as vulnerable, at the same time...
please someone explain. |

we got used with to being hated and poor a long time ago, my assault dropship fit costs 1.2 mil and crumples from 2-3 forge hits....oh well |

please someone explain. Get your Dropship more than 10m from ground level. You should now be out of reach for the tank's Large Turret as long as it remains on level ground.
Also, yes, Dropships need improvements as well. Ideally, the same improvements tanks need - more PG so we can both actually fit things. |

Also, yes, Dropships need improvements as well. Ideally, the same improvements tanks need - more PG so we can both actually fit things. They just need to make forge guns have a delay so when it shoots off the projectile travels slower that way dropshils dont get owned as fast

please someone explain. You have be pretty close to the ground for us tankers to kill you... I just think AV turrets need the option to look up and down more. |

As far as I know CCP is hitting tanks pretty hard in the "tanky" department this build.

We have Height, speed, and an awful lot of sky to work with. Ideally a dropship shouldn't hang around an area long enough to get hit by AV, but since this isn't always possible, I'd have no complaint with getting more PG toxic extenders with. |

Some people got the wrong idea, i wasn't comparing dropships and tanks in battle against each other.
I'm talking cost to usefulness/efficiency perspective. you can't pay less than 1 million isk for an assault dropship and go 24-0 with 2 auxilliary gunners, yet you can pay about 600k for a gunnlogi fully fitted, and go 24-0 in a game without any auxilliary gunners
and like i said the tank also has more shield/armor hp, cpu/pg, slots, and damage output. |

a 15% dmg resistance module with 3000hp to work with only saves you from a potential amount of 450 hp worth of damage, instead of wasting your high slot on that you could put a 748 hp shield extender in it's place. |

Light Shield/Armour Boosters/Reppers need a faster cooldown, its currently 30 I think, change it to 15.
We also need the "+5% PG/CPU Increase" from our Electronics/Engineering skills back. |

Tanks are not even close to that cheap anymore. A good turret alone costs nearly a million isk, my tank fit costs me just under two million to run. |

I'm clearly in agreement, though with the planned cost drop (at least on the cheapies) it might help alleviate the issue somewhat.
Also, there's that thing we figured out last night. = ) Helps survivability some obviously, but yeah. It would be nice for them to get some type of defense. Chaff/flares etc... I dunno. Can't wait to try the armor fitting. |

For a forge/railgun to hit me they have to lead me, that involves knowing where I'll be. When I have afterburners on and I am spinning my dropship in all kind of directions I barely know where'll I'll end up, hence the guy shooting me now has a much harder shot. It's clearly been working, since my losses are down by quite a bit. |

Collision damage definatley needs looking at, was watching my friend play asault dropship and it looked like the enviorment was giving him more trouble than the enemy. |
