how can CCP justify making tanks, tankier, when dropships are really just flying LAV's with extra turrets and passengers.
i forgot to mention a myron dropship chassis costs 20,000 isk more than a gunnlogi tank chassis, and it's got less CPU/PG, less high slots, less damage output and less passive resistance rating than tanks do.
how does this make any sense when a dropship literally has no defensive countermeasures, and at the same time is much more visble as well as vulnerable, at the same time...
please someone explain. |

Some people got the wrong idea, i wasn't comparing dropships and tanks in battle against each other.
I'm talking cost to usefulness/efficiency perspective. you can't pay less than 1 million isk for an assault dropship and go 24-0 with 2 auxilliary gunners, yet you can pay about 600k for a gunnlogi fully fitted, and go 24-0 in a game without any auxilliary gunners
and like i said the tank also has more shield/armor hp, cpu/pg, slots, and damage output. |

Forge guns and rail guns don't care how fast your going, they still shoot more than halfway across the map in half a second. |

a 15% dmg resistance module with 3000hp to work with only saves you from a potential amount of 450 hp worth of damage, instead of wasting your high slot on that you could put a 748 hp shield extender in it's place. |

and like i said the tank also has more shield/armor hp, cpu/pg, slots, and damage output. Tanks are not even close to that cheap anymore. A good turret alone costs nearly a million isk, my tank fit costs me just under two million to run.
those prices are taken straight from the market. |

please someone explain. calm down please. the idea is more tank less gank https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=74977&find=unread please read this it is not just for tanks its a scaleing over damage vs hp wouldnt it be nice if a have rail had to land like 6 or 7 shots to your durp ship just to down it with its current stats assuming pg were working
your quote says nothing about dropships morte, it's only tanks and LAV's getting buff's |
