Never will be. and **** will it fail bad if it became. I'm all for new. I'm all for taking the road less traveled. But I'm also a FPS player. So are a lot of people on here. Dust is pegged as a fps. mmofps. fpsmmo. FPS nether the less. But under the surface, I'm starting to see the passive aggressive of those that would rather this game never have been A FPS. And for that they don't want us here.
Had dust been a RTS, or ACTION RPG they would *** buckets. PVE is whispered with giggles of what might be. grinding and role oh my! The LORE for dust is in the back drop already. BUT THE ENGINE THAT MOVES THIS, IS FPS. ACCEPT IT. A broken engine, but that's the point of what at least many here are trying to do. some come off selfish, but many want the same thing..
Dust to succeed.
Players of DUST WONT FALL FOR THE LORE. THEY WONT FIGHT FOR GELLANTE, NOR MINMATOR, NOR CALDARI. THEY WANT TO FIGHT THE BEST.  To bathe in FIRE AND BRIMSTONE. THE MMO TEAM CAN MAKE A LORE OF WHAT WE ARE FIGHTING FOR. BUT WE JUST WANT TO FIGHT. HAIL ODIN. |

Anyway, It's late and I'm probably being a ****. No hard feelings to grind lovers who love to grind at mmos. More power to you. We all want dust to be great. just we also as we've see in posts want different things from dust.
maybe wanting dust to be great, should be focus for now. |

hey hey hey. relax.. geez I could already tell who I insulted. I play cause I do enjoy something in this game. But that enjoyment gets a little less each time, cause of glaring problems with game that have not been addressed. Do I expect kill zone 5 here? NO. MAG 2? no. But I sure as hell don't want it to turn into dota either. or terra. or wait for it... eve.
Share the lore. Role play.. go knock yourselves out. But let the damn engine be fps. better then any fps before it. Fine eve players, I'll fight for your planets. for causes (not free of course) but at least give me the tools to do so! Don't brush off the FPS aces, that can be of help to your war!

I'll give you a like for this. Just understand some of us hardcore MMO guys play FPS too. We are just looking for an in-between.
MMO aren't my taste. But they are my best bud taste. he's into it. So do I loath it? no. Do I understand it? no. should there be a in-between. Buddy this game needs something! like now. so I'll agree to that. +1 for you. |

Remember that Titan that crashed into the background of all our maps? That's what lore does.
only after my wife read over my shoulder of what I wrote and I got scolded for being a bully. lol I'm not a bully. I stand for what I said. But I'm not blind either. this is a game. And I do have friends that play mmo. I should be more careful as to what I write late at night. |
