 I know aiming has been adressed and I agree it's a bit sluggish and I use 100% sensativity however this post is addressing the recent patching of the range on the weapons such as the AR. I fell as if I'm using an AR from 20000 years in the future it should a least be effective to 1400 Meters since that's the maxim effective range on Americans modern assault rifle. with the uprising update its like you can't shot people who are further than 50 meter so what ever you did to patch th maximum effective range of our weapns, in my opinio, makes the game less enjoyable think you should bring back the range on weapons pre-uprising please

 First off, it's not an AR. It's a Gallente short range, high damage plasma blaster, just like the short range blasters on a tank. It's not meant for long range combat. Everyone was spoiled by sharpshooter and it broke the game. Get over it and learn how to play differently. I hear the TAR is back to it's former glory.

 No. Moving as a squad/team is now viable again. Before it was just sharing kills, now it's the best way to get them.
 
 In Chomosome, gameplay was a matter of circling the map & shooting anyone you see. At least now, you have to think far more strategically about how to approach their position.

 No, just no. CCP has stated that SS pushed ranges farther than intended. Maps would have to be re-done, and close quarters combat is more fun than sniping or spraying with AR from 50+ meters for the vast majority of people.
 
 And gameplay takes precedence over futuristic "realism."

Oh if that's the case there should be drop off for the rounds than  Devs said that's not supposed to happen and they're looking into it, but heated plasma isn't supposed to shoot 80-100m. Everyone having sharpshooter in chrome pushed engagements way to far away, snipers could camp up in the hills or on top of the MCC with a Thale's, and heavies could mow down people from across the map. People weren't beating each other with skill, they were beating them with range and damage mods. Having mid range combat where it is now encourages team work and tactics instead of everyone running a map in a circle and dakka! dakka! with sniper plasma blasters. Everyone took a range hit and for the most part learning how to play as a team. Deal with it.

 hard points on the map are stupid now. the gaps are too large. u got ppl having firefights with no actual damage being done. its getting better but its still not fun anymore. have u seen 1 post stating "wasting all this ammo is so fun". to top it off we got nerfed nanohives. it takes more bullets to kill less ppl with almost no hope of resupply. "gee fun. well it was worth a try. any ammo"? nah noone can afford to spec into logi. well except the other teams proto assault logis. wonder if they got ammo.

 AR optimal range is 50m. Any more than that and the spread is too much for consistent damage.

 i was implying that not alot of areas support that range. alot of open warfare is going on. civilwar style. but what the hell our range and accuracy is civil war grade. why not?

I'll give you that, some maps need work. You know there's more to Dust than infantry right? Some maps are good for certain weapons and some maps are better for vehicles. Like Manus Peak for example.
