The Tac ARs are perfect. Sight gives good zoom (2-3x I believe), damage/recoil/magazine capacity are all good. ROF is fine, but I'd like to see it dropped to 400 to avoid any issues with modded controllers.
Default ARs (std/Gek/Duvolle) need their max range to be increased by 2-3m. Not alot, but just a touch. Generally their stats are fine, but I'd like to see a 1x magnification RDS instead of the crappy iron sight. The prior Iron sights were bad, I think these new uprising ones might be worse.
The Breach ARs should have the same range as the default ARs. Their damage is now good, but their ROF should be around 450... just a bit higher than it is now. This would make them SLIGHTLY closer to the other ARs in terms of DPS. Magazine capacity is ok.
Now on to the Burst variants. They need a little work. IMO, they need an additional 5m of range...so that they are a little closer to the Tac AR in terms of range... just not quite equal. I like that you changed the burst to a 3-shot burst. HOWEVER, the characteristics of the gun hurt it at medium distances. The burst spreads the 3 bullets over distance, so that you only hit with one or two of the 3-shot burst, particularly when the enemy is moving. This is especially bad since the burst does less damage per round than all other guns of the same tier. In shorter distances, it is more usable than the Tac, since you can hip-fire if you need to, and can deal decent damage, but not as effective as the other ARs... as it should be.
IMO, the one major change needed to make the burst ARs even with the others (in terms of balance) is that the FIRST burst fired should have NO bullet dispersion... meaning all 3 bullets should hit the target in the exact same spot. After the first burst, subsequent bursts will have normal dispersion that the Burst variant has now. This will allow you to hit hard with your first burst, and then trickle down the enemy HP with the rest of the bursts, since a number of the other bursts will only hit with 1/3 or 2/3 of the rounds.
This would make the burst: A good medium distance AR (but second to the Tac) A decent shorter distance AR (but second to the standard and breach)
Right now, the burst is probably the worst in every situation. (except for maybe longer distance, where it's second worst...but only because the breach variants have no range)
The only reason to use it, is for the ACOG scope.

lol, yeah I usually love burst rifles. Good combo of better-than-average longer range effectiveness, and still more usable at closer ranges than the typical marksman rifle. (or Tac AR in Dust)
It's just that in this game, the burst is missing something in the longer ranges. |

OP, you ever fire a modern awsualt rifle? my guess is no. To think this game was to be futuristic, you would think they wohld at leasthave the same capabilities. Even with sights on tgt usuing controlled burst should yield 7 out of 10 rounds as hits. Now it feels totally random if you will even hit anything. |

Not sure what the point of your post is...
Other than, maybe you admitting you cant hit anything.
But, I agree... hit detection is a little off.
PS. I have fired an AR15. And btw, that has LITTLE-TO-NOTHING to do with videogame weapons and how developers should balance them. |
