One, single, optional, end-of-beta, launch-day respec is not an unreasonable request.
It will not create false-expectations, nor make future, post-release choices meaningless, nor will it hurt those who choose not to respec.
It will simply allow those players to begin the game fresh, with the knowledge gained from the Beta, without losing their "reward" (the SP they've earned) for participating in the Beta and providing valuable feedback.
No choices that a player makes, as part of the Beta process, should be permanently set in stone. |

2. It generates what I like to call reset fatigue, anyone who has quite a few fits or a specially particular style of play assets or are a bit eccentric (like Entity) would have to spend HOURS getting back to where they where yesterday via setting up, buying things, re-configuring everything in their possession, this quickly becomes a chore in a game where resets even if equal valued to meet the same potential previously before the reset. Agreed As far as fatigue after 7 months, I just want to get real and play for keeps.
Neither of these things would result from a one-time only, end-of-Beta, optional respec.
No false expectancy, no fatigue, one time only, between Beta and Launch.
After that, all bets are off, and all decisions are final, but no player should be punished for decisions made during a BETA.
A Beta, by it's very nature, is a learning process. |

Ccp kind of missed out on opportunity here, if they let us respec a few times in this window we would end a lot of confusion and do a more thorough testing of the game.
This update introduced too many drastic changes to not allow the players any room for error, IMO. |
