TBH it's such a stupid phrase! But CCP is so deserving of this new phrase.
Welcome to the Real World!
Your game had so much promise. Guess what? You killed your own game!
Out of the millions who downloaded the game, only 5k max are ever on! That was on new build day only!
You know the game is in trouble when the numbers are down and it's SP reset day. Usually a lot more players get on to grind there measly SP they get for a week.
Welcome to the Real World CCP!
Nobody is going to play a game for a month just to get a dropsuit, a weapon, some supporting skills! That's obsurd! One month to just get one item, one decent item! And that's if you pay for the boosters!!!
Then you have to the nerve to limit everybody on how much SP anybody can earn a week.
You make the game a job! As most players know, having a job isn't that fun! We play games to have fun! Not to think of it as work!
Then you make the gameplay unbearable! Blob/trench warfare is not fun! You nerfed everything into oblivion! Anything that was fun, is not enjoyable anymore! I thought this was a Sci-fi shooter, not some bore-fest 514.
Only developer to have the whole community complaining about everything!
No wonder why nobody is playing this game! The game sucks!
Welcome to the Real World CCP!
i don't like zitro but why did they change everything that was fun about the game
Obviously all the EVE carebear kids still like the game, because it caters to blob and trench fighting with endless grinding versus basing an FPS around player skill. |

Starhawk was made in early 2012 I believe, It lost most of it's playerbase due to horrible unbalances at launch. Saying that I mean HORRIBLE unbalances nothing dust has ever seen. That was eventually sorted out, The playerbase dropped to below 1000 Many people said it would die, But as the days carry on, it's still going strong with about 300 players on.
Enough to find a full lobby.
Dust 514 won't die.
3000 players is enough to keep it alive for years.
Those 3000 players are before CCP even puts out advertisements.
Summary: Doom Sayers are wrong. low player counts cause the game to get boring tho, when your fighting the same people over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over

Jason Punk wrote:Psh, I'm sorry this is such a big thing. Hundreds of games would kill for our playerbase and numbers...And we're just about to launch and advertise it to the world. Gentlemen, this game is by no means the greatest piece of software or the grandest of ideas, but it is one of the most dynamic and fun communities I've ever played with. Not to mention the promise of a deep and immersive science fiction. Doom is for the doomed; Adapt and overcome. Don't let this petty stuff get you down <3 Punk

Galm Fae wrote:The more I read OP and his supporters the more I realize this person is a child. Really, the mechanics you propose are up to line with Call of Duty and Halo. Go play that if that is what you seek. You say Dust becomes a job, and yeah, no ****. Do you have any context of what EVE online is?
This isn't a shoot um' up "blast the **** out of um" game, it is a profession, a career, a lifestyle, a SIMULATION. The idea is that you get out what you put in. That through effort you can rise in ranks and acquire wealth, not through unfair advantages and political sponsorship.
In other words, everything the Caldari fight for. I wouldn't expect you Federation filth to understand.
This isn't just some FPS, it is an immersive MMORPG with it's own mythos in one universe. I am glad CCP won't let the fate Caldari space, or for that matter the whole universe, clutch on the bitching and moaning of a child because he can't become a demi-god through the abilities of an overpowered assault rifle.
Damn right, it is trench warfare, what the hell do you think warfare is soldier? We got large benefactors from the EVE universe lining up to pay some massive coin to take the planets we are deployed to and they want the job done right. This isn't kindergarten, it is tactics and blood and guts and heavy machinery.
If you don't get that then you aren't fit for service.
EDIT: ******* bring it. Maybe if I slap you hard enough you'll be able to find your *****. I mean really >"Listening to crybabys" Do you hear yourself or are you just autistic?
I fully expect you to muster up an attack against the imperfects on the 14th.
