We melted tanks like butter problem then is the SAME problem we still have ppl with garbage AV trying to take down proper fitted tanks we would down a sagaris in 10secs with a combined effort of 3 guys the only problem i see is tank spam. but at some point ppl gotta realise that ur own tanks are necessary A lot of truth in your ranty OP, Mavado ;)
I think one of the things we're seeing right now is that because of the higher sp requirements to get into proto suits, peeps haven't put many sp into AV yet. This will change over time, especially with the vets.
It's still fairly inexpensive spwise to get into a decent (AUR)swarm fit, but i think a lot of peeps are waiting for the plasma cannon to make a decision on where to put their now-precious sp.
You make a lot of good points, but for me the most valuable point is that pubs cannot be used to balance DUST. I honestly think it's a life-or-death issue for DUST. Not trying to be dramatic, and i feel it should be obvious to the devs also.
Balance can only be set when considering the synergies of combined arms used intelligently by integrated, coordinated teams.
Once that balance is acheived, then the devs have to look at what other non-balance-destroying measures can be taken to guarantee a good player experience for the pubbies.
To be fair to CCP, their first real opportunity to look at a large and consistent dataset for integrated intelligent warfare with all the tools at hand will be PC. We need to make sure we're giving the dev's reasonable, coherent and constructive feedback whan PC goes live. |
