Why should just one of you get to take out my ship which now costs over a million ISK? Well for 1 because I SPent 6 mill SP's to spec fully into AN ANTI FRICKN VEHICLE BUILD... thats why.. And you really think there are 2 fully speccd Swarms in ANY pub match on same team? WITH MICS? ya... faulty logic.. It should take 1 clip with the Swarm AT MOST to take down the most heavily shielded Dropship... PERIOD
that's the dumbest thing I`ve heard today, you should never be able to 1 shot a best variant of DS go back to CoD where the kills last under a second, there's plenty of noobs there where you get your kills handed to you but in this game, when I fully spec into DSes I expect to live through a 1 shotted AV LIGHT weapon. |

A weapon that lock on a target and fires guide missles should it really do that much damage ? there little to no still involed when in use compared to the other weapons, I say leave then as they are able to force vehicles back, but not destory them unless it a poor skilled tank player. |

OP, Swarms are doing 69-89% dmg to shield, and 120-180% to armor(depend on hitting his weak spot or not). In my opinion they were to strong in Chromosome - 3 wave of proto swarms could **** apart proto HAV with all skills at 5, proto, armor plate, repair, and 3 hardeners.

Im finding this "find another one of you " logic pretty faulty.. and Ive seen this excuse for heavies and MD's lol.. so its really not valid.. How many people in a pub match have fully speccd AV gear? And then they would need a mic.. and then .. you get the point.. chances are slim to NONE..
Everyone plays their own role and expects to get kills by themself.. this whole run in a mob mentality is like the New Eden socialism.. and homey dont play that.. Its a nice thought if you are in a high level clan battle and it was planned that way.. then you have a valid point.. But the vast majority of us the majority of the time will be ALONE.. maybe 4 mics on a team if its a good day.. doesnt leave a lot of room for Having double maxed out AV trees..
IMO another prime example of nerf wars gone wild..
See I disagree. If you have joined Dust to just play solo you are missing the point. It's still a valid play style, but you don't play Dust for the Pub matches. There are plenty of other more appropriate shooters for lone wolves. Dust has always focused on player Corps because its mission statement is to bring players together in organised and cohesive units. Join a Corp or meet people in team chat and get organised so AV attacks are coordinated and effective. BF3 did that a bit with Javelins and SOFLAM. Dust is about taking that organisation to another level.
While I have been EXTREMELY frustrated while trying to use swarm launchers (adv level in the previous build) I do agree with not making them solo kill strength. The fact is in the previous build and up until now swarms were really only good for taking out turrets and unskilled LAVs. The rockets are too slow to be much of a problem for anything else. By the time you launch a second salvo the enemy has had plenty of time to retreat and recharge. Even multiple swarm launchers working together are easily countered by simply driving/flying around obstacles. As long as you don't sit still and don't hang out in the wide open areas you will probably not even get hit. They are simply not effective as AV. |
