It's fairly new, yes, the Uprising build has just come out. There's going to be a lot of complaints. Below are observations I've made in game that I hope will serve as constructive for tweaking the build.
Almost everything (But not everything) I'm seeing complaint over, and revisiting appears to be exactly the same issues that were niggles preventing the Open beta from being polished. I am mystified as to why they're back.
-Drop ship and HAV turrets shooting their own vehicles. In the event of Friendly Fire being enabled, this will go Ape Crap Crazy with complaints of people's gunners shooting themselves down. - Why is this back? It was fixed, now it's back... Restrict turret mobility, or reposition those turrets.
-Sticky Feet - Soooooo many spots on the map cause people to get stuck on edges that are 1 mm high, or corners of buildings, or slight grades. I noticed on line harvest, the hill by those walls has been cleaned up, but now I'm getting stuck on flat ground or the curbs at the edge of a road.
-We had bad ADS, now we have more precise ADS but with Lighting effects intended to disrupt our ability to see and use them... Either way, it's bad ADS (I'm looking at you, stupid laser rifle and MD smoke trails)
-Sluggish controller response - I have come close to suicide several times when I've switched from my MD to a nanohive, only to shoot myself trying to drop it when it doesn't switch. The control wheel was finally working smoothly, now it isn't again? This may be the same issue with the extremely sluggish gameplay that sees me desperately trying to turn as fast as a player moves, but can't catch up. (And yes I've upped the sensitivity). Or try to switch to a secondary while in a gun battle.... These are all issues that were better, and now we're back at the beginning of Open Beta again. So I know you know how to fix it in some way.
-Lag spots, now I will be looking to confirm this, but there used to be specific spots on Magnus peak that lagged when you went there, I think they got better... Now we have a new skirmish map that's really big, and it has lag spots, including a large one outside of the entrance to the enclosed part in the middle. (I think it's on the South side). Now that game got so laggy, it was unplayable, so it may have just been the sucky lag.
-Lack of critical information - The dropsuits specifically are missing so much information, or are mislabelled. We've always known that there was a difference between some suits that wasn't indicated in the descriptions, but now with the race specific suits (maybe it's there and I'm not finding it) please include the differences in the descriptions somewhere! I know it's in the patch notes, but I can't reference those in game, and shouldn't be required to do so to make an educated decision on why my Minmatar Logi suit is paper thin, while having no discernable benefit over another with way more health.
Now please understand I am not here to Rag on you guys, but to provide some observable issues that seem to have reappeared from early in the last build. I am enjoying the game in some sense, even if it is to die repeatedly while I try to figure out how the new revive system is a subtle neuter to the Logi's out there. And when I hit the wrong button and jump out of my dropship, it's still priceless, even when your patch notes said they were effectively 50% cheaper, when they're not. Or when I try to shoot someone with my HMG, and can't hit them when they're on the other side of the road, leading to cowering in the corner like an overfed baby looking for a nap, and hoping someone walks into the magical killzone that amounts to the 10% of the map I can |
