I have a suggestion to make the repair tool easier to use in battle, as it, at the moment, can be quite difficult to heal the correct player, when a lot of teammates are grouped together.
My suggestion is simple. Allow target switching by tapping L1, so if I get the wrong player on the first go, a quick tap will cycle to the next player within my field of view. Currently, stopping and resuming a repair has enough of a delay to actually lose a teammate to enemy fire, and there is still no guarantee that the second, or even third try will land where it is supposed to.
Another idea would be to hold L1 a few seconds on a friendly teammate, to designate them as your main healing target. As long as they are in range, and unobstructed, the beam will always hit them. Great for when your squad is moving in on an objective with randoms, and you want to make sure that your heavy gets the healing amidst the chaos. A simple targeting box on the player, and a symbol on the map, could show which player is chosen, and a simple tap of the L1 button would clear all locked on targets. This would also work for dual beam repair tools. |

This is actually a decent idea. If I could hold down R1 to use the repair tool and press L1 to attempt to switch to another player that would be great. Especially if it made some sort of quick logic check to see if someone was in range that doesn't have full armor.
I swear if there is a group of blues the thing will lock onto everyone but the guy with low armor. |

Sometimes I have difficulty in getting the red square to appear to repair people instead there is a white dot. It may take several presses of my button to get the rectangle up.
Also using the dual repper I find that if I am anyware near an installation one of the streams will allways target that installation wether I have targeted it or not.
That is group of people around CRU hurt for example pointing the gun at the wounded players and one of the targets will be the player the other will jump to the top of the CRU even though I am not aiming at the top of the CRU. |

Ability to hold L1 and cycle targets with L Mushroom would help with this too. |

The targeting system is still bad.

as ive mentioned in other posts, i play meny games, thus said, cycling with the same button used for repping would clash (randomizer may just keep picking same guy, repitition is VERY random)... but if the left and right D-PAD buttons were used to cycl WHILE holding L1 (durring repping)... the world would be a better place |

i used to always carry a repper in the last build(when u didnt need millions of sp to consider being a logi) and it was a pain having someone cross infront of me right as i went to rep a squad mate or even a blueberry having an option to cycle through players would definately be awesome |
