What a great tool for this game! It brings the team to the transportation and provides cover while spawning. Unfortunately, unlike a drop uplink which gives 25 wp every time someone spawns on it, this gives no WP regardless of how helpful it is to your team. I can compare the benefits of the Mobile CRU vs Drop Uplinks at length but will instead say this.
Pilots deserve WP regardless of kills. It does not matter if they fly in circles all match and kill no one if they are providing a valuable service to the team in providing transportation and cover while spawning. Setting a Mobile CRU to provide WP like an Uplink should be a priority. Please make it one. |

100% agreed, making a brand new skill for it I thinks how fast CCP is working on vehicle (mostly pilots) roles WP gain to balance it since it UP. |

I recall a topis pre-Uprising where a dev confirmed that mobile CRU's should give you WP.
Really hope that this will be fixed for launch.
And yes, as much as I would love to be a dedicated dropship pilot I most probably wouldn't earn much ISK doing it at this point.
We should have a way to get cash while doing it. |

I apologize for not making it clear that this was tested today, it does not give WP, you spend SP on it to get the ability but there is no value in game for the ability as a Drop Uplink placed somewhere high or behind something gives WP where the Mobile CRU does not even though it is high and out of the way of enemy combatants.
The Mobile CRU should give 25 WP for every spawn. It gives 0 WP for every spawn. It takes a High slot on the loadout that could otherwise be used for shields or an afterburner etc. making the DS or tank or LAV more vulnerable. A good pilot should be able to make an easy 300wp by spawning, deploying a DS with mobile cru and flying around the map with 6 people spawning into the DS and staying in it without firing a single gun.
Please DEVS make this work. |
