I've played this build for a good 6+ hours specifically only using the shotgun, AR and the Submachine gun so I cannot speak on behalf of the rest of the weapons.
There is definitely something up with the shooting mechanics in Uprising, something incredibly off but I cannot put my finger on it. Aiming and Tracking just does not feel like it's working correctly compared to Chromosome, Hip firing with an AR or Submachine gun is absurd, I had around 10 or so 1 on 1 fights in Uprising and they've all lasted 30 seconds to a minute, neither of us could track or hit the other properly while hipfiring. If you go up against a scout one on one he is either going to kill you or you both are going to run out of ammo and resort to melee. Now when actually using the sights, I feel extremely sluggish, like my Character is running on 10 bottles of Valium and her senses are impaired far too much to be wielding a weapon, people are outwalking my aim almost. Using the AR is a completely different than it was in Chromosome, and imo it's not different in a good way at all.
Hit Detection feels worse, a lot worse. Shotgun continues to hit point blank while your target takes no damage, This happened in Chromosome quite a bit but not nearly as often as it does now in Uprising. I've found I have to wait until the target is completely still or running in a straight line for the pellets to actually register. A Iot of what I said so far may just be because of lag, saw a lot of people skipping around the map and those I've played with were constantly complaining about it.
Also I don't know about you guys but I feel like our old Sharpshooter skill being removed was a mistake. A huge mistake, I'll admit I was always the first one to tell Sharpshooter QQers to HTFU but I realize now this was just stupid. In No FPS I've ever played have I had to actually move within 30 meters of my opponent to shoot them with a basic AR. I can run into a heavy in close quarters, be halfway dead, run backwards and proceed to shoot him outside of his effective range and there's nothing he can do about it. Shotguns took a huge hit because of it too, it's effectiveness has been cut in half. I'd recommend anyone to run shotgun only for a day and see how pathetic it is now compared to Chromosome. On paper sharpshooter sounded good but after playing it just feels like it encourages the game to be played in one big blob so everyone can actually shoot at each other. I've had my teammates die right in front of me, I could see the targets shooting at my teammates clear as day but I couldn't shoot them to save his life. Sharpshooter needed a nerf for sure, but a complete removal was a bad move, Sharpshooter Proficiency shouldn't even existed in Chromosome.

Sensitivity seems to have been turned way down from Chromosome. It doesn't totally fix the problem, but just going into settings and pushing the sensitivity back up made a huge difference for me last night. |

Yeah this game is sluggish as hell now. Most likely to help those Casuals who don't have twitch like reflexes, and lol yeah the shotgun is dead. I'm telling you right now, got it all the way to level 5 and that thing is useless, your better off using Nova Knives for CQC.

Yea aiming is totally off. To get a kill with the shotgun you have to hit the the enemy at least one time without him noticing your there. The aiming is the only complaint I have about this build everything else seems fine. |

Do you mean melee? Because if you were able to kill an enemy without getting a hit on him (and just sneezing at him or something) that's a little OP... |

This game has never had "twitch" style mechanics...what game were you guys playing? lol
The gunplay has ALWAYS been off. It's never had good basic mechanics at all! This build does appear to have more input lag than others though. Combine that with an inconsistent frame-rate and a tiny FOV and you have a mediocre shooting experience.
Seriously people, this game needs more powerful hardware. The PS3 just can't deliver what CCP's ambitions require. |

we did a study and found the hit boxe reception at the front versus the back is greater and found that damage is more received at the legs and head then the chest, if the chest even registers.
i agree, its nit just affecting guns, but the nanite injectors to. |

Yeah, aiming is off but I'm not sure what it is. If they just reverted the aiming back to last build, I think I'd be ok with this build. CQC fights are just awful. Just a clusterfuck of whoever is unfortunate enough to walk into the most bullets.
Sharpshooter should be brought back, but at a reduced percentage. Say 3% per level, and proficiency at 2% per level. |
