There is definitely something up with the shooting mechanics in Uprising, something incredibly off but I cannot put my finger on it. Aiming and Tracking just does not feel like it's working correctly compared to Chromosome, Hip firing with an AR or Submachine gun is absurd, I had around 10 or so 1 on 1 fights in Uprising and they've all lasted 30 seconds to a minute, neither of us could track or hit the other properly while hipfiring. If you go up against a scout one on one he is either going to kill you or you both are going to run out of ammo and resort to melee. Now when actually using the sights, I feel extremely sluggish, like my Character is running on 10 bottles of Valium and her senses are impaired far too much to be wielding a weapon, people are outwalking my aim almost. Using the AR is a completely different than it was in Chromosome, and imo it's not different in a good way at all. Upping your sensitivity hired didn't seem to be the solution either.
Hit Detection feels worse, a lot worse. Shotgun continues to hit point blank while your target takes no damage, This happened in Chromosome quite a bit but not nearly as often as it does now in Uprising. I've found I have to wait until the target is completely still or running in a straight line for the pellets to actually register. A Iot of what I said so far may just be because of lag, saw a lot of people skipping around the map and those I've played with were constantly complaining about it.
Also I don't know about you guys but I feel like our old Sharpshooter skill being removed was a mistake. A huge mistake, I'll admit I was always the first one to tell Sharpshooter QQers to HTFU but I realize now this was just stupid. In No FPS I've ever played have I had to actually move within 30 meters of my opponent to shoot them with a basic AR. I can run into a heavy in close quarters, be halfway dead, run backwards and proceed to shoot him outside of his effective range and there's nothing he can do about it. Shotguns took a huge hit because of it too, it's effectiveness has been cut in half. I'd recommend anyone to run shotgun only for a day and see how pathetic it is now compared to Chromosome. On paper sharpshooter sounded good but after playing it just feels like it encourages the game to be played in one big blob so everyone can actually shoot at each other. I've had my teammates die right in front of me, I could see the targets shooting at my teammates clear as day but I couldn't shoot them to save his life. Sharpshooter needed a nerf for sure, but a complete removal was a bad move, Sharpshooter Proficiency shouldn't even have existed in Chromosome.
TL;DR- Shooting in this game feel kittened up now
