If the racial suits are supposed to be Tech 2, and require proto light/medium/heavy frames to spec into, they are way too high-level to be a BPO anyway. The Raven/Sever/Valor suits should be refunded and deleted for that reason alone.
They're standard level. The problem is some fudging with the reimbursement terms, confusion over what constitutes an "event item" (the people complaining about refunds for it clearly never got it for free), and the ballooned skill reqs. |

I think an extended set of STD BPOs would be nice, as I'd still like a Logi BPO, just not Minmatar. I don't mind the idea of specializing to get to roles either (though Assaults/Scouts/Sentinels need more to distinguish themselves from basic frames). So, it's not so much the skill reqs exactly, it's combination of that with with respec and racial variants. We went from literally only one kind of logi, assault, etc. to four. And it probably should've been refunded considering the level of changes - especially if we paid actual Aurum for it.
I'd like this resolved amicably. A swap for another racial variant would be cool of course. As would a reimbursement so we could wait for something like another racial variant to actually exist. I think it would be bad if the suits got "nerfed" skill-wise, so they no longer render the class/spec bonuses they can currently can for the people that have them. They are expensive BPOs, and people could have bought them POST-uprising too. $10 is a pretty good price for a standard BPO that can benefit from specialization bonuses. If this turns a "we have an unfair Aurum reimbursement issue" into a situation where our problem becomes EVERYONE's nerf, that is a really sad way for things to go down. |

Offer to swap out for the racial variant of the player's choice. Use the same color scheme. Make the swap a one-time offer. Make sure you don't enact any mega-class nerfs right afterward. People seem to be screaming for logi blood, and if someone took a Caldari logi variant and then it lost 2 slots, half it's hp, and the LW became a SW... even if people got a respec right after that, then they'd be stuck with a suit they probably wouldn't want to use because the role would've changed drastically. |

The role has already changed. People didn't pick the Caldari logistics suit to do logistics. They went that route to shield tank. Don't take any slots. Just make them use a side arm. They still have their medium frames if they want to go back to light weapons.
That's an ignorant quote. SOME people chose to use Caldari Logistics as shield tanks. Some people chose to play as logistics, and that change would gimp them.
It would definitely necessitate a respec. Sidearms just don't have the range. ANYONE with a rifle could kill a logi at range because pistols/SMG/knives have much shorter range than ARs/lasers/MDs/Snipers. It just makes Logis dead men walking.
That's aside from the most obvious respec issue. If you're a logi, you only have a Light Weapon slot. Odds are you may have never touched sidearm skills. So whatever weapon you did skill into would be worthless in your primary role. |
