As most of you have noticed 80% of the playerbase has lost its aiming capabilities, me included. On Chromosome, I was able to be accurate enough to get headshots and follow targets without a problem both with KBM and DS3. After Uprising though the aiming felt very different. Small movements made me get completely off target and big movements are way too big. After tweaking with all the sensitivities possible mainly on KBM I figured that this was not a sensitivity problem or an aim assist on/off problem. I have been trying to understand what is going on and so far the only conclusions I could come up with are these.
1) Increasing the resolution of the game gave almost everyone if not everyone horrendous amounts of input lag. I run an SDtv so there is no way for me to get input lag from the tv. For those who don't know what input lag is, please click here. Seeing how this problem occured on another FPS game I played on this console after the developers tried to do the same thing, there is a high possibillity this could be the problem because the "feel" of the aiming was the same as the one we have at the moment.
2) There was an attempt of CCP to add a "sliding" effect to the sensitivity which caused this.
Also, the KBM gets affected with this more than the DS3 even though there have been people telling me that it feels really off for them to aim with the DS3. If this is an attempt to balance out KBM and DS3, there is no way that this is possible. The only possibility for this to get balanced out is to give DS3 more sensitivity options, meaning that the sensitivity for DS3 should be increased by another 100 if the player wishes to match the KBM speed, bothering with the accuracy is just a no-go. The KBM/DS3 aiming was working fine on Chromosome and it is highly important that their inputs are raw.
Now I hope this gets noticed and fixed as soon as possible, seeing how release is really close and you need the aiming mechanics on an FPS because shooting is well.. vital. Some people already stopped playing the game untill this gets adressed. |

At this point, stack shield extenders and armor plates, run straight at enemy, pray you win. Broken mechanics like this will turn off new players very quickly. |

From what I saw KBM specifically has some messed up values in it and CCP is looking into it. I'm not sure about the DS3 though. |

I don't think that applies only for new players.
Every thread since the new update was and is negative and there will be more to come ... This is not fictional rant from everyone because things are different. These are serious and game-breaking issues.

+1 I tried both scout & assault suits, in both cases the aiming lag was bad, I struggled to aim an AR, & the pistol is now useless, I cannot aim it properly for CQC. |

Aiming right now is a struggle. It doesn't FEEL smoth and i'm having a hard time well shooting like i did in chromosome. Could just be me getting really bad but seeing so many having the same problem can't do anything but come to the same agreement. And i'm also getting to the same fixes that Deranged came to.
(Anyone noticed that the AR also hits 1 centimeter below where the tip of your crosshair is ??) |

So true. Playing with a mouse is just frustrating atm. Although I didn't notice the x/y axis problem yet, the input lag drives me crazy. It definitely feels like it's tied to the frame rate, when I'm in heavy fights the input lag get's much worse and I simply can't follow a fast moving target anymore. Please look into that CCP, it should have a high priority for you because this touches the very core of FPS game play. |

Like I said, the best thing they can do is to increase the max speed of the DS3 to make it more fair but other than that it's pretty much worthless trying. |

Not to mention this is only one major issue with using kb/m. KB/M is broken, making this the worst fps I have ever played. Last build was 70% better than this, just needed to be touched up, not completely changed. |

And here I thought shotgun scouts were buffed, as I've been able to weave and bob in front of up to three enemies while they shoot at me, taking them down one by one...
But yeah, hitting people seems to be harder - but not convinced it is a bug or an issue, or just getting used to the new controls which have clearly been tweaked. |

In any fps, you should be able to pick up your peripheral of choice and hit targets, not have to try to learn by trial and error. This style has already turned away first day players, and making vets question if the game is worth playing still. It's not a game if you have to work to get down the basic necessities of it. |

Bumping this up since I still got terrible input lag when playing with mouse today. The last hot fix apparently did nothing to address input lag. |
